There is a tendency among good people to expect peace and decent governance as their due, and that we deserve such simply because of the compelling virtue of these qualities. History tells us, however, that such is not the case, and that violence and force are the prevalent order of man's story, and will dominate our lives unless actively and courageously resisted.

This struggle for peace and decent governance will not be won by virtue of compelling morality, the truth, or the never ending debate over what is the case and what is not, but rather by the mass of people who are actually willing to put their asses on the line.
.
It's high time that the multiplicity of peace orgs, their officers and their celebrity personalities but the bullshit aside and massed in place at the seat of power, or more precisely, at the center of the government that the actually powerful have purchased to do their bidding.
.
Incessantly nattering away with facts and declaring our moral superiority as we have for the past eight years will accomplish nothing more in Year Nine, Year Ten, Year Eleven, Year Infinity! We need no more truth, no more reasons. We have an overabundance of both.
.
What we have lacked are the integrity, courage, and willingness to suffer the inconvenience, discomforts and risks that are necessary to convince our prostituted government that we will permit no more of their misrepresentation of the best interests of the American people and humanity.
.
More spouting off becomes now simply absorbed into what's become the customary noise level. Truth, reasons, virtue, rhetoric will not turn this beast that we've allowed its way for the past eight years. It will be stopped only when we take a stand by the gates of the castle that was once our Capitol.
.
Forget about 9-11-01. Gear up for 2010. Yes, it will take integrity and courage. Let's get some!
