The debate over "all things gay" in this country is getting ridiculous.  Military officers/Arab-language translators and Air Force aviators discharged for being gay; Bill O'Reilly warning that gay marriage could lead to unions between a man and a goat; Hannity's concern over "violent" gay kissing in daylight; California courts maintaining  the legality of existing gay marriages, but deeming illegal any such contracts in the future (talk about doublethink).  And remember when Batty Rep. Michell Bachman hid in some bushes to spy on the gay folks at a DC rally? Then there's this "Reverend" in Wasilla who thinks the Anti-Christ is/will be gay (see the current audio Sample of Sanity).  More proof they grow 'em extra-crazy in Wasilla.

But this story, "Reporter Detained Near Air Force One Claims Gift of Prophecy, Healing," in Politics Daily today really grabbed my attention . According to the story...

Brenda Lee, a reporter claiming to have White House credentials, was forcibly removed from a secure area at LAX after she tried to give the President a letter yesterday urging him to take a stand for 'traditional marriage. 'I said, 'I'll take my chances if (the president) comes by here,' said Lee. '[the officer] became annoyed that I wouldn't give him the letter. They escorted me outside the gate,' she said. She said security officers allowed her to return when she promised she would not yell or wave, but then other officers arrived and told her to leave. 'I'm not leaving,' she said. 'They tried to drag me out.' Two officers then picked her up and carried her out.

Has it come to this?  If Lee and her credentials are legit, then has the extreme right-wing religious gay-hating wackitude actually infested our allegedly unbiased news reporters?  Even those that are not affiliated with Fox "News"?  Worse, are these homophobic bigots now so emboldened by brazen anti-gay sentiments in the media that they feel comfortable approaching Air Force One to confront the President?  In the daylight?

Someone should invent some kind of spray-repellant to keep these freaks away from the rest of the normal, non-hating people.  To borrow a meme from M. Night Shyamalan's The Sixth Sense . . . "I see crazy people . . . they walk around like everyone else . . . they don't even know they're crazy.

Scary.
