~OWED TO A LAWYER~I'm wondering how you sleep
In your warm and cozy bed
While others shiver, hopeless, broke
The ones that you misled.
Remember them? The ones who
Paid you money up the ass
Believing in their innocence
While you sat there and laughed.
They learned in school a system
That is just, honest and fair
You led them to believe it's so -
You knew they weren't aware.
'Tis travesty I see now -
Making money right and left -
From innocent souls who trusted
And now are so bereft.
You raked in hard-earned money
While they thought that they'd go free;
Until you bullied and coerced
And made them cop a plea.
Do you ever stop a second,
As you shop for clothes so fine,
And feel guilty, for you know,
They did not commit a crime?
So please, tell me truly,
How do you sleep so well -
While those that you've "defended"
Are in a living hell?
