Our first draft of the congress pages is live.
We expect the pages to change, considerably, as the project develops, but take a look.
or go to the directory and just search for your senator or congressperson. In the next week or two, we'll be merging all the articles from other, older pages for the legislators we already had content for. I'm hoping you'll use the page for your legislator to start posting content to it-- your own blog diary, article, or a link to an article on another website.
I've created a diary you can comment on to give feedback on this new Congress Pages development. This is just the first stage. We'll be adding functions so, as a member, you'll be asked to identify who your rep is, and by your state, which we already check, we'll be able to list, on your member page, your legislators. Then, we'll be doing polls (yes, we'll be adding polling to opednews soon) that only constituents will be able to vote in. I bet we'll get it down better than the big e-voting companies.
We literally have about 100 more upgrades on the planning board for the website. Almost all of them are significant. Many are revolutionary.
