Below is an email I sent my senator a few weeks ago. I expanded the email to have it make sense as an article, but did not change the reasons for writing. I realize that the senator is very busy right now, but nonetheless I have not yet received his reply.

::::::::

Dear Senator Obama: Here are the issues that will decide for whom my family votes, by their consensus. Please let us know your stand on each of them. 1)-Rescinding of the Patriot Act and the Military Commission's act of 2006.

2)-Complete pullout of all troops in Iraq.

3)-Firing all mercenaries including BLACKWATER and prosecuting those who were suspected of crimes in Iraq or here. 3)-B)-Indicting War Criminals regardless of position or wealth status and impeaching those who lied about the reasons for the most serious matter, war.

4)-B)-Throwing out the Presidential War Powers Act for anything other than a non-expandable skirmish not to exceed 90 days.

5)-Dropping all programs which included spying on American citizens through their emails, telephones, and any electronic or manual communications.

6)-A strong effort, ala-FDR, to reclaim profits by contractors including oil companies and Mercenaries and those who received no-bid contracts.

My research has shown that oil is processed, including delivery charges for $00.02 cents a gallon or $00.99-$1.50 a BARREL. Gas is selling, at the pump for $00.12 cents a gallon in Venezuela (theirs is not "sweet" crude and is harder to process than Iraqi oil). In Iraq before the war, gas sold at the pump for $00.05 cents a gallon and is selling for $00.14 cents a gallon in Iran right now and for $00.09 cents a gallon in Saudi Arabia. FDR reclaimed 80% of profits of contractors in both WW II and WW I. The Muslims and South Americans have treated their citizens far better than our greedy fascist governors in Washington have treated theirs in regards to gas prices. Gas at the pump in Iraq before the war was $00.05 a gallon, in Venezuela it is $00.12 a gallon, in Iran $00.14 cents a gallon and in Saudi Arabia it is $00.19 cents a gallon, here in my country in Illinois gasoline at the pump is $3.72, a clear mark-up of 186%. 7)-The No-Bid contract program should be eradicated and those who received No-Bid contracts in Iraq should be required to repay 80% of their profits. Aside from A. Rodriquez, Yankee 3rd baseman there is no uniquely qualified No-Bid businesses in America. 8)-All forms of torture and domestic violence should be outlawed, with heavy penalties, including abortion, which is an assault upon helpless humans in the making. It does not matter to me when the soul is animated or if the fetus is completely formed, it is a human being merely at another stage in its growth. To destroy such places us in the realm of defying the Almighty. There is no conscientious argument other than selfishness and domestic violence in abortion at ANY stage of embryo/fetus development and it is Domestic Violence and Violent Child Abuse at its worst. 9)-All utilities should be secured by nationalizing them. Water rights will set off will be the next series of wars-WaterWars, American water should not be sold commercially. All the companies selling bottled water should be disbanded and all water, no matter where found, except on private residential property. All other water for drinking and industry and city dwellers should be nationalized, as should all necessities. Fascism is no less horrific in the hands of Nazi Fascists than it is now in the hands of American Fascists. The descendents of Families, which supported Adolph Hitler in WW II and before, and those who participated in the attempt to overthrow FDR should be banned from politics. 10)-All elected and appointed officials and their immediate families should be banned from owning stocks. In this war Congress-people of both parties, profited by $196 Million by owning oil, war implements and defense related stocks. No w My studies in Anthropology and theology, and the common sense of any man in which the Creator is active, have shown me that abortion is an act of contempt for God and the denouement of such action is too terrible to contemplate. All of the above convinces me that there is an all out war against the middle and lower classes.

I anxiously await your reply to all of the above issues in plain and specific language, our votes and contributions are riding upon your answers. My family for eight generations has been Democrats because the Democratic Party had long been a supporter of the working and middle class, that no longer seems to be the case, as evidenced by outsourcing, allowing private, commercial water rights, and in not nationalizing water, fuel, health care, all utilities, arms/defense companies and all human necessities and by the fact that congress-people, both Democrats and Republicans have profited $196 million on oil and arms and defense stock since the war began.

I, in contrast, sold 16 thousand shares of oil stock, before the war began-not wishing to profit by war, of what I thought was a Republican oil war, but which was, in fact ,the beginning of many wars over oil, and next water. That is why all Utilities, water should be guaranteed, secured and nationalized. We have voted out of our social/economic class as did FDR and against our own best interests for generations. I however, stopped voting Democratic after Viet Nam and only with the advent of HGW Bush, whose father Prescott, appeared to be a fascist, did I become a Progressive, independent and a journalist for OpEdNews.com OEN PS: I write for OEN (OPEDNEWS.COM and am told that 600,000 people read us regularly, mostly well educated, lower, to middle to upper middle, to upper class Progressives, Liberals and Independents and even a few Republican converts.
