Last year four millions vanished into slavery. Unrecorded in unknown hands, they may suffer in bondage until they rot. Under the threat of death, they dare not resist even to make a phone call home.

Operating in the Dark
Little is known about the slaves their number and disposition. The estimates of the number of human beings held varies between twelve and twenty-seven millions. At the height of the North Atlantic slave trading, not more than five millions were inchains. One may conclude the situation has worsened despite the efforts of those paid to serve the cause of abolition. The flesh merchants run with immense profits well able to bribe law enforcement legislative and judicial officials into complicity. The traffickers have reduced the agencies to making body counts not even accurate ones at that.

For an Abolitionist Organization such as ours, the State of Israel presents a unique set of opportunities.
Although Israel typically enslaves less than 1,000 people a year, the government employees control the traffic at every stage. Social workers and Rabbis select the girls for prostitution and sell them to the pimps. The Interior Ministry and the National Insurance Office confiscate Passports etc. and falsify new documents that bind the victims to the country unable to leave. The Judges back the criminals 100% and foreign Embassy employees receive bribes to betray their nationals. When the Israelis needed to replace the Arab workers, they adapted these procedures to import 150,000 indentured servants from Europe.
