I am a "fan" of Paul Craig Roberts so I get an e-mail when he posts something to OpEdNews.com, and as usual this latest one, on Conspiracy Theory , is terrific. I posted a comment answering someone who had asked for more information about the JFK assassination, and when checking to see if Nigel Turner's The Men Who Killed Kennedy was actually on YouTube as I thought it was I watched Part 9 . The film I saw in 1988 included only Parts 1- 5, and I think it was better. Parts 6-9 add more information, but it is counterproductive because, as might be expected of something that makes it to the History Channel, it emphasizes the idea that there are MANY theories of who killed JFK and that it all adds up to and remains a big mystery. In Part 9 LBJ is fingered. But it is nonsense to believe LBJ or any other one person could have been anything but a willing accomplice. All of this detracts from the essential fact that it was a state crime, the best model of which I think is William Pepper's description of the murder of Martin Luther King in An Act of State .(2003, updated 2008).Read more here.
