I think they're going to bomb the wellhead of the leaking well.
Obama has three or four days to show he's on top of this. Troops won't cut it. Scientists won't cut it. Americans love explosions. Figure on a daisy cutter first and if that doesn't work, he really may try a nuke. After all, explosives are used to shut out of control land-based wells.



It looks like BP fought hard to block regulations. Obama was BP's biggest recipient-- about $80K. That's really such a tiny pittance. I'll bet Haliburton was paid at least two million for the cementing work they were doing on the wellhead 20 hours before the explosion. Politicians come so cheap. I'll bet it wouldn't have cost more than a few million, probably less, for the emergy shut-off valve that's being spoken about. Now, BP will spend at least $5 billion on clean-up and reparations, probably closer to ten billion. But what the heck. The oil well had a reserve of 40 million barrels.
