WARNING DO NOT USE THE RACE CARD IN YOUR CAMPAIGN!
It is with great respect that I send this letter simultaneously to all three of you. Each of you has what it takes to become the next President of the United States of America on your own merit. However, I am sending this letter to make an appeal to you to use good sound judgment and renounce the usage of race in your campaign. Usage of the race card will cause more damage to our great nation than I believe either of you realize. Our nation is already in uncertain economic times that have placed the good citizens on edge; I fear the race card will push the people over this edge. Whoever wins the presidential race tainted with the race card will be setting themselves up for failure and will disenfranchise not only African Americans but very large pockets of independent voters who are already frustrated and young new voters who will leave this election with a bad taste of the politics of this nation.
How this presidential election is won will determine the state of this nation in the next four years. If the divides between the races are made larger we will see more racism, hate crimes and perhaps even riots. If the will of the people is subverted in anyway you could very well see the makings of a modern revolution in this country as people become disgusted with their rights and welfare being overturned for the sake of special interest. If your respective parties wish to be active in future elections of this nation, they should pay careful attention to what young new voters are saying and demanding. You hold the keys to the future state of America in your hands.
Whether you become nominated or not, president or not, you are and always will be a leader of this great nation with an obligation to put the morale and welfare of the United States of America as priority in your agenda for public service. The nation needs you to bring unity not division to the people and by using the race card you will turn back the hands of the clock to the Jim Crow era, fueling racism and further splitting the demographics of this nation. At some point moral obligation must override political ambition and certain things should not be tolerated for the benefit of the people.
You hold the fate of this nation in your hands as you campaign to become the next President of the United States but more than this you have the power to unite a broken nation through exemplary leadership. I wish each of you much success in your respective campaigns and pray that you withstand the temptation to bring the issue of race into your platforms and political strategies. If you truly want to bring change to our nation forgo any corporate interest and follow the will of the people and bring our troops home immediately.
