imho, OpEdNews.com encourages more public participation in its content and publishes more relevant articles on issues critical to the integrity of our political and economic processes, than a LOT of other "independent/alternative" websites. It's a civic education and a valuable public service, I hope Rob Kall keeps it up and doesn't "sell out". I just made a donation, considering how important this resource will be going forward in this election year and beyond.
In my previous diary I called for 100% of the Ballots in the NH Primary to be recounted by hand, because I assumed that in a process so critical to the integrity of our Republic, every state makes sure that the actual Ballots cast are kept safe from tampering, and that the procedures in place to ensure that can be verified by any Citizen. This is apparently not the case in New Hampshire, and probably a lot of other states. As Nancy Tobi of DemocracyForNewHampshire.com recounts in her article here:

state officials in New Hampshire have even obstructed the introduction of procedures that would increase transparency, accountability and public confidence in the electoral process.
And Bev Harris of BlackBoxVoting.org has also highlighted the problems with the chain of custody

This Primary is a disgrace, and unfortunately seems to be typical of elections since the advent of widespread evoting machine use. If anyone wants to vote on one of these machines, they can have the Right, but if anyone wants to vote on a Paper Ballot and make sure ALL the Ballots get counted- we have the Right. Public officials that don't support this Right have no business being in public office.
