To whom it may concern, I saw a piece written by I guess the editor, here, and wanted to add a couple words.
I think that Op-ed, the term, should be pretty clueful in terms of describing how to go forth and have a good time, here. Op-ed is short-hand for opinion-editorial. That means it doesn't have to have any political bias, necessarily, other'n what the writer feels like adding, in favor of/against whatever it is they're wasting precious minutes of their lives commiting thoughts to e-paper, here.
If there's an issue, and you feel like writing about it, well, hold forth. But, be honest, and keep it factual, like you were writing a news story, and trying to get the editor to include it in today's edition. Do good work. Who, what, when, where, why, how, and to make it an opinion piece, what you think about it. But, include your best effort on the first 6, there, or from the start say that you don't know the facts, but wish to publish your opinion anyway. That way, other people know what they're in for, from the outset, there. Have fun, don't get wrapped around the axle about the details if you don't know em, but feel free to write something anyway. That's my view.
