In 1946 the 8.1 earthquake hit Dominican Republic and extended into Haiti killing about 1500 people. In 2010 the 7.5 (?) earthquake hit Haiti proper only (?!!!!) killing about 200000 people and not touching even slightlyeither the Dominican Republic, or even Labadee- the private resort of Royal Carribean. Why? Some earthquake it is- it selectively destroyes the 0.5 of the island while not even a shock reaches another 0.5. Scientists should be flocking to explain. But no explanations are available so far(I googled and only found the history of the Haiti disasters on Telegraph, UK from which I picked up the 1946 reference; BTW why is that we do not refer to it now and why is that that in 1946 only 1500 people were killed and now- we have an Apocalypse?).
I am not asking for more victims or more misery. I am asking for the proper, concise and scientific explanation of this mystery. I am also asking for those conclusions to be published, discussed in the UN and lesssons to be learned. If there is even a slightest suspicion that this event was somehow artificial we better know in advance.
