I'll be honest with you, I had some uncles who were hard headed and dumber than a stump. I introduced one of my unlces to a man who was running for a judgeship here in Oklahoma, when my uncle heaved back his chest and straightened his neck and asked, "So, are you a Republican or a Democrat."
"When you run for a judge in Oklahoma, it is considered an 'apolitical' office, and therefore, you run as neither a Republican or Democrat," the lawyer instructed.
This past month, we have seen a wanna-be super hero out of Washington, claiming incredible powers as in the changes he has made in Oklahoma. Who is this man? Republican Senator James Inhofe! Praise God for him and his vast powers to save Oklahoma!
So, what breath-taking changes has he made in Oklahoma and why should we worship him?
1) He convinced Congress to maintain our three Air Force bases.
2) He single handedly helped clean up Pitcher, Oklahoma, reardless of what the tornado did.
3) He lobbied and received millions of dollars for our roads.
Pounding his chest, he pointed out that of 47 kinfolks, not one of them is homosexual. Whee, was that fortuitous! But, ... sadly the Hard-Headed Man has done a disservice to Oklahoma by missing aeas of change that needed to be changed.
1) Over 500 Oklahoma soldiers have been killed in Iraq. Inhofe has done nothing to solve this problem.
2) Inhofe allowed the GM plant close down
3) Bridges are terrible in Oklahoma, which Inhofe has not funded the needed repairs.
4) Oklahoma ranks in the lower 5% of amount that teachers get paid.
5) Inhofe has done anything to bring jobs to rural Oklahoma.
6) Inhofe has not funded PE, Music or Art in rural Oklahoma.
Stay tuned as I think up more. It is an oxymoron when you ue the term "Hard-Headed Super-Hero.
