He can't just opine from the campaign trail.

We can’t have the bailout bill be a Patriot Act II, with a vote done on the run when Congress goes into a state of high anxiety…actual panic.

I’d rather see them throw themselves out of Wall Street windows as people did in 1929 if they’re so panicked and can’t think straight enough to give us a good bill.

A bad bill is worse than no bill. Like the Patriot Act, go try to change it.

This vote is critical to all of us.

It’s the biggest socializing scheme in the country’s history. The tax payers who are being asked to buy into it, and after they’ve bought in it, they won’t own it; the government and the string pullers will.

We must know where both candidates stand by seeing their actual vote, and my plea to Obama was not extended to McCain, because frankly, my dears, I don’t give a damn what he thinks.

Whatever Johnny McC thinks is screwed anyway, and if we get stuck with him, we know exactly what we’ll get…screwed.

Obama’s vote must be put in writing, so to speak.

One of them will be president, and the result of that vote will not only affect his presidency, but the economic future of all Americans.

To not show up to vote on the bailout, would be the first dereliction of presidential duty even before being elected.
