A message from a reader reports that Track Palin entered the military as an alternative to going to jail for vandalism.

::::::::

We're getting a lot of tips and leads, and since we don't have a paid reportin staff, we're going to ask you, our readers to help, taking a bottom-up approach to investigative journalism. We don't know if the report below is true or not. If you have or dig up any info, please post it as a comment.  If you hear of any stories that are unconfirmed, I encourage you to do the same thing I'm doing. Post it as a diary and ask for help. WE can do amazing things that one person can't do.

Here's what came in:

Look, I don't know  for sure that this is true, but I got it from an Alaskan friend whom I trust and who has every reason to know:

"And in other hot news: Track Palin, the patriotic young soldier, was found guilty of major vandalism last year of the school buses for the MatSu district. It was a huge story, but the kids' names were kept secret because they were minors. Major damage; school had to be postponed. Well, he was give the choice of jail or the army...."
