There are many people in this world, who consider me as non-serious person. I think they may be right as at the moment my family is in turmoil, but still I am busy in the politics. I shall be a candidate for the post of president of Peshawar Press Club.Today I want to make a resolve that I shall always use my journalism for peace. Actually I have been using my journalism for peace for the last seven or eight years. During the process I have also suffered a lot. My wife and my children have suffered as there was a time when whole Pakistan was in a mood to have a war with the United States. Actually they were unaware of the consequences of war. But now they have seen the destruction of war with their own eyes and this is the reason that now they have been calling of peace.
I fielded myself as candidate with only purpose to win peace for myself, my children, my wife and my people. I do not expect that a miracle will happen and I shall win, but still I have been trying to make an example.
Actually US President Barack Obama has always remained a source of inspiration for me. His election as president of the United States was miracle. By electing Obama US citizens have proved that they are the real citizens of a super power.
But for me it will be very difficult to become the president of Press Club as at the moment I have been living among the illiterate journalists. They do not know as to whom they should vote, but actually they were told by their masters to do this. There will be no denying the fact that at the moment we all are slaves.
I just want to liberate myself from slavery. But for this I have paid a heavy price. Anyhow, I shall request all my friends to keep me remember in their thought and prayer. Actually at the moment I have also been receiving some threats.
