The other day I heard an older woman on television saying that this was our President, we need to stand by him, regardless. He is our President.
I hate to differ madam, he is not our President. He may be your President, and he is definitely the Republican’s President, but he really isn’t my President. And about that, he is quite adamant. In a logical society, the President would spend his time in office running the country, not flying around the country stumping for political allies. That my friend is not the people’s President…that is half of the people’s President.
Pardon me if I don’t stand by him while he rants and raves on the GOP agenda of candidates running for ‘his’ party. I don’t care about other state’s candidates. I personally don’t want my tax money used to pay for the President’s stumping trips.
He should be done with that now. Let the GOP do their own bidding for their own candidates. He should be busy leading the free world. Doesn’t he have more important things to do? You know, for the people?
Until this shameful American tradition ends, for both political parties, I don’t know if anyone will ever be the people’s President.
So much for united we stand..
