File this one under; Don Quixote rides again!

::::::::

Something has been bothering me for a while now:

The New York Times online has moved most of their serious Liberal OpEd reports to the TimesSelect, a subscription only service. This means that the average American working two or three jobs to put food on their family... probably cannot afford to subscribe to the TimesSelect (on top of their computer payment and the highspeed internet jack) therefore he or she reads the free opinions and editorials in the New York Times online only, which tend to be more mainstream leaning or sympathetic to the government or to big business. The hard hitting and damning editorials by Paul Krugman, Thomas Friendman, Molly Ivans, and others, are often buried behind the economic firewall of the TimesSelect subsciption site.

-------

So, I challenged the The New York Times windmill with my Pen!

-------

"Dear Editor, Putting your best LIBERAL editorials in the subscription TimesSelect is both unAmerican, and a disgrace to the New York Times. Don't think that liberals are ignoring your attempt to sell liberal information at a premium while making the crap reporting and government leaning opinions FREE to NY Times readers. I will spare you any threats because your day of reckoning is coming along with the rest of the press in this country for helping to enable the right wing crisis in this country. It may not happen today, or tomorrow, but history and the people will look down on this New York Times staff and your editors for putting profit above your duty to inform the people as the 4th Estate. You may laugh at my feeble lashing, but you will regret the lashing of the people when the populist revolution happens and your paper along with most others are exposed for their self serving deeds."

------

To which I was eventually sent the form generated reply:

------
