I hate to do this, but I came back to a bill that needs to be paid right away. We get our biggest bill twice a month. Asking for money is no fun, but it's a reality, a part of our survival and evolution. We need funds to pay this bill and we need them right away. If you've been a contributor, thank you so much. If you've thought about, please consider making a contribution of $10, $25, $50, $100, $250, or any other amount, so we can pay this bill. God forbid, there should be enough money that the 80 hours a week I put in get recompensed. That has'nt happened in a while. We've had a few weeks where I've been able to take a few hundred here or there. So I end making under a dollar a hour.I think we're doing a pretty good job here. User homepages are getting more and more features. Now, all user home pages are set up for RSS feeds for articles and diaries. People can subscribe to your writing this way. We'll be offering other ways for readers to subscribe soon.
If you haven't set up a user page, please give it a try. It's' really easy. Click on the submit content link and it's easy. Or you can do it at the comment section of any article.
That will enable you to comment on articles, which we love to see, post blog diaries and articles. Soon, we'll be offering a lot more features for members. Sign up early. We will remember our early adopters later, when we start offering premium features, and we will favor you as an early adopter.
We've also added rss feeds for all the subject and locale pages. If you want to use your RSS feeder to keep tabs on new articles on specific topics, locales or writers, we make it possible.

Other Ways You Can Help
In the next few months, you will see more and more unique features that we develop which will turn OpEdNews into a social networking news blog hybrid unlike any other site. We could really use your support in bringing readers to the site. If you could let ten or twenty people know about us, or your mailing list, that would really help. If you know people with businesses, who could advertise with us, or if you DO business with progressive businesses, it would be great if you encouraged them to advertise with us. We're using most of our revenues to pay for programming and hosting. As we grow, our hosting needs are expanding, and cost more.
Another way you can help is to try out our new commenting and diary blogging capabilities. It's easy to blob. Click on the diaries tab on your member page, then click on submit and start blogging. Blogs tend to be shorter, sometimes more personal. you can use invective, write about more personal stuff... And blogging, unlike article writing is about conversation. You want to comment on other's diaries and respond when people comment on yours. That's what makes a blog site successful-- the resultant community. So please-- blog and comment away. And if your realilze that your blog entry has turned into an article, you can easily, when you click preview, convert it to an article.
