With the volume and complexity of the subject matter presented below, it will take too long to reach the point of it, yet all of it, including the portions linked-to rather than pasted in, are needed to communicate "the picture", filling it in with all its supporting characters and details. Because of the urgently significant and potentially immanent nature of events, I have decided I must go ahead and state the point up front, so please bear with me in this because by itself, without all the supportive background, it may seem too "outlandish" to consider.
It is very possible that the "Nationalist Movement", now having gained the cooperation of Al-Sadr as a result of recent events, is presently ready to begin their war for Independence. Each of the sizable parts of the amalgamated forces had already agreed among them upon the date of April 9th (or 10th) as the goal proposed for the starting date when the recent "arrests" of significant Mahdi Army personnel, followed by the attack upon the Basra portion of Al-Sadr's Mahdi Army brought Al-Sadr to the decision, finally, to join forces with the Nationalist Movement. At the time his decision was broadcast, he put out "the call" for all Iraqis to hear and heed and confirmed the April 9/10 starting date. This particular date is the anniversary marking 5 years since the fall of Baghdad in April 2003.
There was too much to include, and it has been taking too long to put it all together! I hope this is enough for it to show through clearly! I better quit with it now and get it sent off! If the situation in Iraq DOES explode in this manner, it is important that reliable, progressive, trustworthy members of the legislature have been forewarned.

During the opening phases of the newest Mahdi Army "chapter" in the course of events, Sadr called for ALL Iraqis to join the Nationalist Movement and go "on strike". Many DID go on strike immediately as called upon, then planned for an historically massive National strike for 4/9-10. Though the strike call was significantly answered and put into action for 'the moment', calling for it also provided a mass-broadcast spot for another, much deeper communication strongly advocating much more, with Sadr passionately calling it loud and clear for ALL Iraqis to drop the US manipulated grievances among Iraqis ASAP, with all "brothers and sisters" of Iraq to NOW be joining hands together again in full support of Iraq and the "Nationalist Movement"-- declaring that NOW it is time for all Iraqis to be fully committed to taking back their country with NO foreigners or their holdings left behind.
There have been other calls and communications among other 'groups' with the messages carried effectively enough in 'discussion', ironing out between/among them the main points of objection that until then had been great barriers. A great number of those have since 'joined hands.' Sadr was, I believe, the biggest boulder of a holdout left. Some, like Maliki and puppet crew (w/less than a quorum left in the "Parliament") with their Badr/Iraqi army, minus of course, the significant # of those who are, as was so recently well demonstrated, more Iraqis than Badrs, were left out of the whole conversation. They have been seriously weeding out infiltrators of the bushy/Iranian/Maliki kind from among their various ranks at least since last Summer. The Baathists/Sunnis started on such a program, and of course including purging extremist "al'Qaeda" types, over a year ago, before the "surge". (THIS, the "enron accounting" used in the "tallies", and the Mahdi army cease fire, added to the ethnic cleansing/genocidal pogram Petraeus has been running in Baghdad, are the only things that have made it appear as if "the surge" had accomplished ANYthing!)
It does, however, remain to be seen if Sadr WILL actually follow through with releasing his own personal ambitions which he has for years now, since early in the occupation, gripped so tightly....! I do believe he HAS seen the writing on the wall though, cognizant that without the "Nationaliist Movement" and Unified hold upon the push for Freedom in Iraq, there will be no end to the continuously occurring catastrophe of occupation and all the terrible horrors, the unspeakable horrors that go with it. Also, without securing the country-wide National Sovereignty, the surrounding "neighborhood" of nations would be too apt to carve them up if we got OURS outa there.
A couple articles on down into that page, as translated from Arabic, note that those from 7/3 through about 7/10 are Sunni, the 7/21 is Shi'ite from a speech to a large mass gathering. There are some updates in that conversation waiting for me to get them onto the page.

I believe that I probably need to interject here, to explain, --that I spoke Turkish when I was a child and lived in Istanbul for 2 1/2 years, was QUITE adventurous, friendly, and nobody was paying attention, so I had free reign...... (....never got hurt or in trouble while I was at it!:-)
We lived in easy walking distance from "town" and as long as I was home by 5 PM, nobody ever noticed I had been gone. I made a lot of friends, and one Arab shopkeeper in particular became much like a favored Uncle. He meticulously taught me the "fine art of hagling" which gave me a LOT of deeper understanding of customs, "protocol", and of all the levels of nuances, etc., too hard to describe, including various tones of voice, body language, hand/arm motions, when and how one should look downward, or look past, but never "eye to eye"..... He LOVED having an acquaintance or 'rival' come in while I was visiting and would put me through "the paces" like a little 'show'--he had quite a reputation among his peers for his mastery, his "skill" in the "art", and I had been a really good pupil. It was also well known that he had taught me, so when he was showing off by having me demonstrate my "skill", it boosted his reputation further. So, though I don't remember how to speak Turkish anymore, I do still remember MUCH about the Arab "art of communication".

This reporting did not give the full statement from al'Sadr and also translated a little differently what he DID say. I haven't yet found it in complete and translated form in text.--sure glad, with 'serendipity', I caught it LIVE, as I wouldn't have "got it" otherwise, then would have MISSED the last piece needed to realize that the last holdout was most likely now "IN" and echoing the call to BEGIN on 4/9 or 10 !) I got it originally from SEEING it on (ABC? CBS?) --network evening news, therefore also SAW Sadr's facial expressions, body language, directed eye-gaze, and HEARD his voice as he said it. Also, it appeared to have been an "accidental" passing English speaking Iraqi doing the translation spontaneously, on the fly, and most likely a Sadrist at that. "They" (reporter & cameraman) were a little peek'd at the sudden "intrusion" into their shoot of Sadr, but still didn't really know what they had there in the statement, which he issued like a SHOUT meant to carry commandingly throughout Iraq, and especially to be heard by Al-Duri since al'Sadr's holding out for ruling the South under his particular brand of "Islam" up until that point was still a major stumbling block in the way of the Nationalist Movement. Especially also, meant to be heard by Al-Dahri/AMSI, and "all citizens".

The cease fire Sadr called last Aug.--- It can be seen from the timings of the articles (links inc. below), especially including the coordination with the speech from the Shi'ite Imam's acceptance of the Al-Duri/Sunni statements, and the Imam's live communication of that to "all Shi'ites", --that the Imam was, as well, 'speaking directly to Al-Duri" then with the speech-- (and most likely hoping Sadr would pay attention),..... (the speech was carried in July '07, more than once, on TV plus in text in the newspapers) ---and so, with "collating" and considering these all together, it can be seen that most probably the timing of Sadr's decision, and also at least a strong influence leading to making that decision to call for the cease fire and begin to purge extremists from the Mahdi army was to a great extent in direct response to the "Manifesto" and such from Al-Duri (7/3 --710/07), and the Imam's 7/21 Martyr's Day Address, and Sadr's "SHOUT" was directed quite particularly, in relation and answer to both.
Sadr, though, wasn't necessarily making a DECISION last Summer to 'join', but he was probably at least "hedging his bets" in that regard and giving himself room to see where things went from there. Had he come in on it then, the AMSI's Al-Dahri likely would have "declared" the AMSI decision/position a couple months sooner than he did (12/15/07). With Sadr choosing the cease fire and purging of extremists at that timing (Aug.'07) it was very likely that he was signaling an "iffy maybe". (hmmm, got any perks to trade for my desire to "keep" Basra", like maybe giving in to letting me be in charge of the oil there, and have it declared as a special Basra Sharia zone....????) Sadr, though, had competition down there in Basra where the Badr Briggade had been moving in on it and was instigating "turf wars" with the Mahdi army, (besides the provocateurs sent in infiltrating the Mahdi....) and though Sadr seemed to feel he had the stronger position because of the greater portion of the Badr-B being all tied up with playing "Iraqi Security Forces" around Baghdad and etc. for Maliki. He also didn't like the summary executions that, besides coming from the Badr-B's, were being carried out by extremists within, and also who had been slipping in, infiltrating into, "his" Mahdi army.......
SO, incidentally, as he just "happened" to show up for a 'visit' to the greenzone-Iraq at that timing, when "Darthcheney" pushed Maliki to give some good demonstration show for broadcast "back home" to the sheeple to help make Petraeus's upcoming little dog and pony show trip to Congress look at least a little plausible, of course "none of the above" had ever crossed the Darthcheney mind......
(Sadr's recent SHOUT was broadcast even here in N.Hurley [w/antennae, no cable hookup here] LIVE and as yet, unedited or mis-re-transliterated like all the extreme and maliciously intended mis-transliterations that have been created and distributed to news outlets as if they were credible translations from the original Arabic of the statements and phrases made by Iran's Ahmadenijhad.)
This is all so "intertwined" that it is quite hard to point out in this linear format all the "relativities", both among the various people and factions, and between the various communications themselves, PLUS the additional clarififying needs IN many communiques in order to put all these productions of anglo-obfuscationing 'misleaderings' into context as needed to understand "WHATtheHECK????" and so be able to SEE, and with cognizance, the holographic picture that they weave, like a 4-dimensional puzzle, once all have been mentally as well as a bit intuitively put together as a whole.
While on that subject ("getting the picture") please keep in mind while reading Al-Duri's Manifesto and such that he is fully aware that as long as he fills it with all that "Baathist", "Socialist" and "Saddam" stuff that way, especially the "top and bottom" embellishments of each document, that Maliki+ and the US will KNOW its just "him again", "sounding off", and so dismiss it before bothering....... (This is all kinda' like Br'er Rabbit and the Briar Patch!)
SO--- in just a few days from now (April 9 &/or 10), the Nationalist Movement's war for Freedom and Independence may well explode into the scene. ---Unless they get to thinking that this is too quick to move with it, what with Sadr just then "joining", and having no time, and very possibly no under the radar discreet way to meet with others to coordinate who does what, where and when, besides Sadr needing to coordinate just with HIS militia 'leaders', --and with at least 30 of his higher ranking leaders having been kidnapped by a cheney goaded Maliki to provoke Sadr after he'd announced the renewal of the cease fire.... (DID they actually GET released???)
-----but then, it may be as simple to them as setting Sadr the task of the Basra Badr-B for the time being, and keeping them from heading North to join the rest of the Badr-B, though, then again, perhaps there will be more Badr-B's who'd rather fight for Iraq, anyway, than be fighting for something as pitiful as Maliki.............. but---then AGAIN, they've all been discussing quite extensively in various other communications about the problem they have with various 'brands' of infiltrators and how to go about dealing with them, and coordinating THAT amongst them all.......
Just can't get into THAT area without spreading "caveats" all over the place!
Now, if anyone tried to bring this to the attention of the military, they would most likely set our poor "troops" up well positioned for large scale slaughter. They will have no idea what to expect, how, when, where, and those guys, likely 'en masse', would wind up being stuck "out there" in the open trying to look "too superior" to the Nationalists, and hoping they'll just scare them off! (the usual neocon "shock and awe-ish "show of force") --IF they even would give any credence to the possibility of there BEING "amalgamated forces", much less an impending attack from them. Whatever they decided to do, they would not have any idea what is coming, couldn't begin to think in terms even related to what actually "may be"........"who, Al-Duri??? yeah, sure, you gotta be kiddin', nothin to it, just a buncha side-lined rag-tag leftover wannabes.....")
"The talk" over there is of a "million man army", and that could be just the bushco/Bremmer-fired Iraqi army portion, with new recruits collected up in their ranks during the past 5 years, and all under Al-Duri's group's command. There have been some comedic-toned Iraqi remarks that have filtered through calling it "The Million Man March".....like the one in DC in '05 (or '06?) (I think it was '05)
*****Since then, during the past couple days, this "Million Man March" and the million man army have become the "common vernacular", speading like what is called in internet terms, "going viral". It has taken hold also in active imaginings, energizing hope and courage where up until then too much despair had been seeping in and becoming all too pervasive.There has also been a good bit of collaboration among them for just letting the US troops go, unmolested, if they WOULD just GO! They've even discussed about how they would be glad to help and facilitate the troop withdrawal with gathering their "stuff", and getting that and them all transported to departure points, with some mention that they don't really want to be killing them, that they'd rather they could just go home to rejoin their families, and that they're sure that 'our troops' would really rather go back to being Daddies and Mommies again, anyway. They seemed to be trying to figure out some plausible way to present that, but also realizing in the process that there is nothing plausible with NWO-neocon types, and they feel bad about it. They've discussed some of how they know the US troops were all tricked into killing Iraqi families, thinking they were there "bringing freedom", and "fighting for their country", "avenging 9/11" and such, and just didn't know any better.... There has been some real consideration in recognition that most of the US troops don't want to be there doing that, but are forced to be. I'm sure they are quite serious about all that, that it is not just a ruse, because they all know what that was like, "being tricked" like that under Saddam, and because surely it would be so much NICER for THEM, besides for actually "supporting our troops", not to have to actually go through all that blood, guts, gore and ongoing effort.
THEN---- there's all the part about Syria, and the Arab League......
I started gathering all this, and putting it together with the needed accompanying "background" a couple days ago, and the time is too short, so I can't take the time to "polish" it and give it the look of a "respectable presentation"........

Below is perhaps about half of the Letter from Al-Dhari, yet still it is quite long. Please read it all, and CAREfully! I wish I could just sit down with you, "with all this", with the various communiques open in different screens so that I could switch around among them to show you how "this and that" match up with "those and the other"......! I haven't posted the newer ones yet because the translation is not very good at all, and I have only just started, with the first bit of ONE long one, to go through editing the translation and just THAT bit took a couple hours! This one, at least, isn't as bad as some! The links are for the ones I had already posted previously, and some of what is here is part of the ongoing discussion that for the most part, started with those posted last Summer. There are plenty of others, but this is where it really became "discussion".
Al-Duri, having been a "most notorious Baath", it took time and the increasingly intolerable general living conditions for him to begin to be "heard" over the isolating nature of the "Baath stigma" at all, much less with any credence. The passing time has also taken Al-Duri through many phases of processing and reprocessing, peeling away the 'onion layers'. With a life lived through a substitute-persona of military-elite stature under Saddam, the armour plating encasing that 'onion' had to go first. He was used to the broadcasting system of "command order" and steel girded hierarchical structure. He had to "remodel" extensively to go from the 'commanding broadcast' mode to the 'perceptive receiver' one needed to start to understand something of what people would need to see and hear from him before it would begin to gain acceptance. Step by step, the progessing change has shown through in both the quality/tenor of presentation and the changing perception of need and grasp of ideas that shows through in the content of the proposals and declarations he has written.

At first nobody wanted to believe this was anything more than "bait and switch". Since last Summer, they have come to realize how serious he is, and besides, the bushco rush-program with Maliki, the "oil theft" law, the faux "constitution" and approaching election cycle, ongoing threat of nuking Iran, the lack of electricity, clean water, and the effects of living with open sewers, and other such relevant aspects of unsustainable every day reality in the constant living conditions of the Iraqi people have also degraded further, and too "much more etc.",..... has let Iraqis know they must get ON with it, ASAP!

Baydin Project was too bad which divided Iraq into divisions in order to feel the pulse and then to see that the idea is sat down. I witness that you have increased our pride and disappointed your enemy when you announced your ejection to the project. Thanks Allah for the attitude you chose.
You have to remember that Command Council that has divided the country on the basis of sects and ethnics. Then they came to the preparation of the constitution which was the support of the program. It has prepared the base in order to turn the theory into a practice. The politics of sectarian murdering is on the shoulders of the occupation and the internal and external evil powers that have assisted them in order to realize the division. We are still paying its value too expensive as we had paid before. The mischief-making of occupation and similar politics are the reasons for that. All these politics are aiming to keep Iraq and its people weak.
Yes, some politicians are innocent of the confirmation of the political operation. The politicians that confirmed the operation are now turned, as it is known to all, over to their own benefit. The most important thing for them in the federalism is to keep them on top and continue to have the wealth of the country not only for themselves but for their progenies after them. They have turned the lives of the innocent people into hell. They never served them a single beneficial thing, do you think what will happen if the command of the country turned to them.
Today the occupation is attempting to another way of realizing the project. The new attempt is to scatter the unity of the sects, the unity of the tribes and the unity of the region. Then they will constitute new cantons and armed regions killing each other and making war commanders in order to rivalry among themselves. Then they will ignite the dissension fire in our beloved country keeping it weak and sick at last to reach the country into internal war.
No doubt for the tribes’ sons that the most important thing is a successful land. The enemy will spend energy and property to build centers of polarity inside a tribe and they will feed the polarity with properties and weapons and of course from the Iraqi wealth too, then the internal conflict will start. The enemy has really started to take such action in the med and South of Iraq, so, o sons of tribes be careful.Before a couple of days the occupation country USA President has permitted himself to study an agreement about the sovereignty of Iraq and the high benefit behind a closed door with the today’s Prime Minister who has assign him before and gained to him a big support in spite of being the worst person assigned as the head of the government. Now they want from him to the price as selling Iraq to a master, as this person never cares about Iraq just only for his position. So he prepared to sell Iraq.

This document is contained the support of the occupation country to the current government and his developed security system for a long time scheme. This document that is intending to be signed next year has also contained signing long terms military, security and economical agreements and other many evil things. -The Prime Minister has agreed on in order to realize his masters’ wishes.
The document is as a mortgage upon Iraq, together with its wealth and future. This is the real scandal, scandal to a US Administration that did not stop with occupying and destroying Iraq, but wanted to occupy it forever. It is scandal for the politicians who were assigned to and accepted serving them.
As for the US President and his cabinet, they have to stop ignoring the self determination of the Iraqi nation, the International treaties and the violation of the Iraqi people. They should think about their mistakes which were done against the nation and have to submit their excuses and compensate them for what they have lost with justice. Their dream of conquering Iraq and sucking its wealth will never be realized with assistance of Almighty Allah.

We have no other chance unless tied ourselves to Allah’s strength, then looking to our unity and consider the aggression of it as red lined error, continuing on with big efforts to get rid of the enemy and its remainders and expel them out of the country’s territory whatever could be the difficulties. The occupation has to leave the country first, for us to be able to manage ourselves. The occupation imposes the hindrances, the occupation from time to time is igniting different dissensions among us and constitutes the sects, ethnicities, social, economical and security and other problems. Unfortunately the enemy has somebody of us who is assisting and helping to apply the plans came in sake it. All these aims are for remaining the chaos over Iraq and in case to feel that as if we are in need to the occupation and the conditions will go more badly. As we will think if the occupation with its forces of hundreds of thousands of armed forces could not control the Iraqi condition how come we could after the occupation leave? This is the occupation and who is dependent claims and wants us to think so. Some has fallen in the fishing net and started to accept the occupation whereas they were against it yesterday. They think that if the occupation remains in Iraq an internal war will never happen. On the contrary the occupation is the base of the problems, the crises and the crimes were increased in their existence which the Iraqis never have seen before even the Iraq’s history. Do you think why? Because the occupation itself is behind it. Can you see when we could reach to solve problem and pull out its roots another problem is appeared in front of us in case to hinder of solving the first and so on. The problems and the dissension will never be solved in this case. But when the occupation has left, then we will be able to get all problems be solved. We the Iraqis don’t have great problems; our land is vast and can contain much more population than todays. Thanks Allah our land is a fertile from the North down to the South. It has a big quantity of water and our resources are enough for us. Even though it is enough for the coming generations. These are the reasons which let our enemies to perform their evil aim. Countries all over the world have troops and armies that defend and protect in abnormal conditions. When the enemy had invaded our country and was attempting to humiliate us, the first step was dissolving the Iraqi army. This action was intentional in order to keep us without protection.
The Iraqi Army was one of the strongest armies in the world and had a lot of experience; billions of our wealth was spend to organize it. How can we leave it!? Why shall we keep silent without doing something? This is the enemy's wish.
This army only consists of our sons. They were an honorable vision of Iraq because they were from all sects and ethnicities; at least they were/are Iraqis. They had learned faith to the motherland away of any sectarian and ethnical ideas.
So we are calling to re-collect them again in spite of false rumors because the rancors could see how they were serving the country.
If there were any individuals in the previous army who had harmed the country and the nation, this is something that could be resolved and be punished anyway but not disolving the whole army for some bad persons. We are really in need of such an efficient army, especially these days.
Think about today's army and the security system. They were fundamentally established to serve the occupiers and perform its projects. What did we benefit of their existence? The murdering within one sect, killings among the different ethnicities, stealing the peoples and the state properties as the petroleum, killing the innocents, invading the cities together with the occupants, torturing the prisoners, destroying the Mosques and religious places, all these and others were performed by those groups... How could we expect that they will rescue us from the torture?
No doubt brothers, there are some people between them who don't like performing injustice doings, but unfortunately they cannot do anything, the good personalities may be chosen among them.
If this military establishment relives again after the occupation leaves, the security and the natural condition of Iraq will be retained again. Afterwards, all armed elements will be diminished. There will be a certain precaution that prohibits holding any kind of weapons whatsoever be the reason.
Let's do our best to re-collect the national army again, and let us to close our ears to those who wish to announce false ideas.

The future of Iraq will not be affected by anybody. We are able to plot our future – with assistance of God - , the duty will be done with the efficient personalities. They can exceed the difficulties and put all their abilities to re-construct the country again without looking at their sects or ethnicities. The legal dialogue will be its formation; the political performance with a particular sect or ethnicity will be restricted. We could also agree on editing a new constitution that could protect the rights of all, away from occupation & destruction, a constitution that (includes)everyone, can participate, not as the occupation's constitution in which the self control (self-determination/ independence) of the Iraqi nation were dismissed and it was built upon the wishes of the occupiers, with their assistance.
If we agreed on these important aspects, then we could find the relevant mechanism to get started. We could then force the enemy and others to accept our will, if the self controlling of the nations are gathered then it couldn't be defeated.
At last, we call all good willing, honored tribes and ourselves also to resist and struggle for the bright aim.
The patience and resistance are the best ways of solving all difficulties because the nations could not do anything without patience.

You have to cause the project of the occupation to be failed. The day is so near to success, be prepared to the step of liberation. Your preparation is necessary to re-construct the country on the hands of your sons.
Do not expect that the enemy will build you a country; the enemies came only to destroy.
These wealthy are spending for a big nothing under the name of reconstruction, reconstruction this city or that city… ok where is it?
There is no construction, because it doesn't go to the real construction, but the money of so-called construction is gone into the pockets of the occupation puppets. There was a schism between Al-Dhari and Al-Duri, both "representing" Sunni groups, with Al-Duri once a high ranking member of the highly feared "Republican Guard". He has learned a lot since then!
Al-Dhari is a member of the Arab Muslim Scholars of Iraq. They have done some pretty heavy 'railing' against Al-Duri and the Baath, but the communications like this one get widely diseminated throughout Iraq and in this way, with "key phrases" and some understanding of Arab custom, "style" of speech and, well, what I'll call "rules of hagling" (bargaining) these "letters" and speeches have become an effective, 'under the radar' means of "open dialogue".
Nowdays, when Al-Dhari "rails" against the Baath in such communiques, it is to keep prying eyes from comprehending the main purpose and meaning in the communication, even to keep others from understanding there IS any open communication between them. As long as there is no thought that anyone else would join efforts with the Baath, there is no reason to take any talk of the "Nationalist Movement" seriously. "Nationalist Movement", the term, probably came from Al'Duri.

Even if it takes an American engineered coup that tosses Maliki out of office in favor of a Saddam Hussein style strongman to knock together a few heads to pass the "Theft of Iraqi Oil Law."
Looks like we've come full circle. Now, it's time to bring "Democracy", American style, to Iran and "liberate" their oilfields.

Iraq: Shiite leader calls for anti-US protest March on April 9
The voice of Iraq news agency quoting a statement issued by the Sadr office’s in Najaf today has reported that its central committee has urged people to raise Iraqi flags in the march to confirm national unity and to call for independence. The call is made to mark the fifth anniversary of U.S. forces’ sweep of central Baghdad. The city of Najaf witnessed similar demonstration on the same day last year, in which a large number of people participated.
