Nader : McCain's Best Friend? - Open Discussion

Message Curtis Sherwood

Ralph Nader's decision to join the race has a lot of democRats up in arms defending the Party, calling for us to cast our vote for the lesser evil while many of us, including myself have long decided to never again vote for any candidate from either wing of the major party made up of Ds & Rs. Our decision to move away from Ds & Rs is probably the most progressive thing anyone can do these days. The way I see it, if you stay on with the lesser evil, you most certainly deserve what's coming to you. You'll get it either way, you know....doesn't quite matter if you vote for McCain, Clinton or Obama. Those three all belong to that one major party, the one that will do as the Industry, the MIC tells them to do - or be shot dead trying to defy them. Of course, the same fate would await any real progressive voted into office. Having said that, your system is fucked, one way or the other. Basically speaking ; aint no way a good man or woman is going to move into the white house and live long enough to make REAL changes. It just aint gonna happen. So why even bother, I ask you? Why continue to participate in this farse of a system?

Well, for one thing, if you still have to go and do your bit by casting a vote in the upcoming elections, you might as well vote for someone who stands for REAL changes. At least then and forever after....you can say you tried to change the system. You knew it was futile, but at least you tried.

That was the pro of voting for Nader. Now for the con.

He will probably take the far left vote away from Obama/Clinton and could possibly sink the big D ship for the election. Nader could be McCain's best friend...

Could it be true? Could Nader have such an impact on it all? If yes, then I personally see yet another reason for voting for Nader.
