Oh, how they howl. Pat Buchanan on TV said it was unbelievable that AIG paid the bonuses to the executives at the times of hardship when it screwed up. Some senator wants them dead. Obama is 'choked with rage'. Some congresswoman wants to tax them to death. Boy, it is mayhem. Foreign banks are taking our money!!!Death threats, huh? OK, how about before? Here are some of my Whys.
1. In 1999 US sold itself to EU to destroy Serbia. We helped the foreign banks very much by killing the only viable remaining socialist state. Any outrage then? Not a squeal ( in all fairnesss Buchanan was against it). Why?
2. In the Y2001, right after 9/11 there was a very suspicious death of Sen. Wellstone and his wife. His name was subsequently totally forgotten, never mentioned by Dems even now. Quite a story? Not a bark in the press. Why?
3. In the Y2003 right before the Iraq war the US committed to death the crew of the Shuttle Columbia by not telling them about the damage during the launch. We went to war anyway. Quite an outrage, don't you think? Not even a peep in the media even now. Why?
4. Iraq war was launched under the lies. We killed about 100000 people in one day and the whole war so far killed about 1.4 miliion people. We spend there $100bln/year. Haliburton, Cheney's company had enjoyed a no- bid rampage. WHAT AN OUTRAGE! Not even a sound. Why?
5. Although our country is in economic collapse the $30 bln for Israel and $1bln for Georgia are to be committed and given. Why? No discussion.
6. During the Katrina disaster our govt's criminnal negligence lead to the unprecedented catastrophe. What a story! Where is howling? Any trials? Nope. The media is silent. Why?
7. Seymour Hersh accuses Cheney of using the US military for his own private agenda including murders. Such activity is treason. What a story! No reflection in the media at all. Why?
8.During the Stimulus Bill Congress stripped it of the provisions to cap the CEO salaries and bonuses. Now they are howling about AIG. Why?
9. Despite the subpoena from Congress Carl Rove spit on it and instead of taking him into custody there were ( and still are) 'negotiations'. Quite a story. Not even a peep on it on TV. Why?
10.One of the banks AIG is paying money to is Goldman- Sachs, the Paulson place, currently our of business. WHY? HOW IS PAULSON INVOLVED! Quite a story, right? Not a peek. Why?
I will tell you why. In his speech in Calgary former Pretzel Bush declined to say anything about Obama administration saying,' Obama deserves my silence'. That's the answer. When it comes to politics one hand washes another and it does not matter what color those hands are. And we, poor saps can ' choke with rage' whatever we want and xcry for vengeance over those whom we had never even seen. Those, whom we do see- they spit us in the face and we pretend we don't see it. Eat your checkers, losers. Wave your hands and bark at the wrong tree.
