Republicans and media pundits are simply slavering over the prospect of Hillary's presidential run in 2008. They can't wait to tear her limb from limb and smear her all over the world. My God! Haven't the Bushes taught us anything about nepotism? You often hear somebody express the wish the Hillary would run in 2008 and that Bill would run as the vice-presidential candidate. Impossible! According to the 17th Amendment, that would be illegal. It specifies that "no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of the President shall be eligible to that of the Vice-President on the United States." Besides, while Bill was immeasurably better than G.W., he left many of our hopes unfulfilled.Has anybody else noticed that the "liberal" media is making hay of the selection of the Speaker of the House? According to them, Nancy Pelosi has already proven that she is incapable of managing her duties. I wonder of they would have been quite so quick to attempt to denigrate a man in the same position. Now they're worrying that the Democrats may "begin on their own plan for Iraq" while last week they were whining that the Democrats "don't have a plan for Iraq". Damned if you do and damned if you don't!
Bush is strutting about Vietnam, boasting of their "peaceful progress" and using that nation as an example of how we should conduct the war with Iraq. Hey, George! We lost that war! Since you avoided going there, you may not know that they kicked our butts! Maybe, if we would bug out of Iraq, they could accomplish the same thing, especially if we were to give them foreign aid and "free trade" agreements. Maybe, if you were to get your butt home and take a good look at things here, (without your rose-colored glasses), you would see that your own country is in need of a lot of work.
