Question for anyone here in Pennsylvania: On the interactive portion of the news channel I watch here in Pa. http://pahomepage.com/ WYOU channel 22, the topic today was murder suicide because Pennsylvania now holds the fourth highest rate in our whole nation. Below is the e-mail I sent in to the news team;
_____________________________________________________________________________________To: WYOU InteractiveA caller mentioned murder suicide as a result of childhood and how program funding was lost. Even when domestic violence itself results from financial stress, loss or childhood; why is our government expected to fund both preventive measures and the consequences’ thereafter with tax payer funding? The more government involvement the more financial stress for everyone. Pat, Duryea
_____________________________________________________________________________________ The The lady guest from domestic violence today replied that the program funding normally came from things like marriage licenses to payments made on felony offences, BUT that the program funding was being diverted to things like the war and (my words: the pork our politicians’ are getting fat off of) and other projects. So the preventive programs (in these very too many specific incidents of domestic violence) are not tax-payer funder; while the consequences of domestic violence, murder and suicides still are! My question here: Since not only someone’s childhood but also financial stress and loss of money? A loved one? A productive life (disabled veteran)? can trigger a murder suicide why are some politicians really only promising more government help; which then creates more taxes to pay for these additional government employees (who then NEED to tax us more so they can get paid really well) - a bigger government is then needed to become even more involved which again demands more taxes to pay for more government employees. How can we the people stop this vicious cycle? As someone who presently must deal with two women sociopaths (women sociopaths are unusual even though I know a few men who would disagree) I really need an answer. Thanks in advance.
