Mitch, you are obviously a tough guy, in that you say, “Just let GM fail” and let the pieces fall where they may. I like that Mitch, that is you being a real “tough guy”. I grew up with some tough guys myself, in that I owned my first gun at 6, killed my first deer at 8, stomped around in the jungle in Columbia and sailed a yacht for a year alone. So I know tough Mitch and I know guys that took a bullet for a friend, or stood in front of a tank to save a buddy, or scooped up a child in a jungle village-----those guys are tough but they all had lots of heart and that is where I question you pal. But here is a plan to show how tough you really are and it is very easy. Offer a bill in Congress that any member in either House that has a net worth of more than 2 million, and that would include spouses like our old friend Cindy and of course your wife, Elaine Chao----yea the Secretary of Labor, your wife, and give up your salary until we are back in the black. You might sweeten the deal by paying for your health insurance. After all, there are a bunch of us that actually pay for it ourselves. It might brighten your soul a bit knowing that you are acting like a real person for a change. It might also help with the scandal you are in the middle of at the University of Kentucky, where some funds were paid you, ostensibly for your foundation. You are tricky Mitch, along with being a tough guy. So go ahead, show everyone how tough you are. I know, you will say that Elaine will soon be out of a job but who knows, Gates kept his.
