A coup is a coup is a coup, and it doesn’t matter if it’s Pakistan, the United States, Cuba or Lower Slobovidanistanivich.
Those who seize that power through a coup of any ilk, always means that power and megalomania go to the coupee heads and the country’s citizens, their rights and their Constitution are always screwed.
Now that the imminent ouster of Pakistan’s Pervez Musharraf by popular demand seems to be at hand, it appears that our own coupee via the Supremes is also screwed.
I have no idea of what this bodes for the Pakistanis, but in a weird way it seems like there is some sort of poetic justice there.
