This afternoon Randi Rhodes went on and on asking if it were true that Nancy Pelosi would change her mind about impeachment if she received 10,000 hand-written letters.
She boasted to John Dean that it would be no problem to get 10,000 letters and then some sent to the Speaker of the House.
No problem at all!
After checking with Pelosi's office, Rhodes told her listeners it was a myth and advised them not to bother.
Not to bother? Why not? Sounds like a plan to me.
A promise from Pelosi or not, if her office were flooded with letters, at least she'd know the polls calling for the Bush/Cheney impeachment aren't skewed, aren't a pollster's lie, aren't a figment of some blogger's imagination.
If it were me, I'd advise people to write "Impeach Bush/Cheney Now" on the outside of the envelope, and put a very short note inside.
We don't have to write a novel to let our feelings be known.
And while we're at it...pop for a second envelope and stamp and send one to John Conyers, too. He suddenly seems to have gotten cold feet about starting impeachment proceedings, which he brought up himself before the Democrats took over Congress.
