McCain loves to blurt out meaningless, macho applause lines, like that he will follow bin Laden to the gates of hell to catch him, or that he knows how to win wars, and will win in Iraq. A number of progressive talk show hosts - including Randi Rhodes - have asked the obvious question: If McCain knows how to catch Osama bin Laden, and win the war with Iraq, why hasn't he shared that knowledge with his fellow Republican, George W. Bush?
But beyond that, how stupid does he think we have to be, to be pacified by such platitudes? Does he think we'll say, "Oh, well, why didn't you say that in the first place? Gee, I guess Obama is clueless about these things!" Sadly, the MSM - other than Keith Olbermann - appears to be just that stupid, since they let it pass without question or comment.
