Let's flip this sucker on its head
::::::::
Sen. John McCain: “I am disappointed at the lack of resolve and bipartisan good will among members of both parties to fix this problem. Bipartisanship is a tough thing, never more so when you’re trying to take necessary but publicly unpopular action. But inaction is not an option.”
Well, Senator Maverick, you might want to consider the oft-neglected fact that you and the rest of the elected representatives that pull wages from the public coffers are ALL there to do the bidding of the citizens of the US.
That means you must listen to public opinion and be directed by it. 'Unpopular' means the people, your constituents, the rightful rulers of the republic DO NOT WANT to bail out the crooks, con-men, gamblers and lousy businesspeople who brought this financial calamity upon all of us.
Unless, of course, you're one of those despicable elitists who claim the 'people' are just too stupid and ill-informed to make sensible decisions regarding their own money.
Do you duty to America and the people, sir and respect the expressed will of the people.
For once.
