If we were to take John “GHW” McCain’s thesis that Barack Obama can’t formulate a plan for Iraq, Pakistan or Afghanistan without first visiting those countries, and get the generals’ administration-skewed view of the situation in each country, it follows that BushCo couldn’t have threatened to annihilate Iran before talking to the Iranis or visiting the country.
Never particularly known for logical or cognitive thinking, if we take the next logical step in McCain’s convoluted thought process, each one of us could never come to a conclusion about anything unless we visited it first.
You and I cannot have opinion on anything our country is doing in any country in the world unless each of us personally visits each country and assesses the situation on the ground.
While that philosophy might hold excellent financial prospects for the airlines and travel agents, it obviously has no practicality whatsoever.
Let’s see if McC would like to put his theory to work.
If he really believes what he said, he should personally “visit” each potential voter over the next 106 days and tell them exactly why he merits their vote.
Without one-on-one conversations with McCain, or any other candidate, it will be impossible for voters to make informed decisions.
Unless, of course, unlike McC, we know how to visit The Google.
