When the Republican label might as well have "Quarantine: Leprosy” written all over it, and Barack Obama became an international rock star and looked more presidential than any president since JFK, John McCain couldn’t buy a headline during Obama’s trip abroad … so what better way to get free press than by bashing the press.
Who better to go after than the New York Times?
Go after the NYT, and every other news outlet will pick up on the story, and ‘round and ‘round it goes netting McCain more free press than he could ever afford to buy without tapping his wife’s mega-millions.
Cry “FOUL” like a spoiled, petulant eight-year-old instead of coming up with a platform that shows he has a grain of intelligence, and gives a damn about the people he wants to vote for him and….. Most of all, isn’t a tired old rehash of the same old, same old last eight years, McCain might get some positive press from the NYT and see them publish his op-ed.
The old adage might still be true: Bad press is better than no press, just make sure you spell his name right…John McCane.
