McCain has suffered four serious bouts with deadly skin malanoma on the left side of his face, currently at Stage 2, but lately, with the help of heaping daily doses of expert makeup, he appears fresh, his face clean and healthy, almost boyish, and full of vigor, but the old time addage remains true, "you can't fool mother nature".

However, his running mate Sarah Palin diverts enough attention away from McCain so that McCain can pretend to all the world that he's the picture of perfect health and he can hope, as he must, that no one will notice or comment on his swollen left cheek.
Now why would a elderly 72 year old senior like McCain, plagued with a variety of serious illnesses, and advancing age, seek the highest office in the land?
Most certainly this could be all about not what McCain can do for America, quite the contrary, its really about what America can do for McCain.
No doubt a monumental ego drives him on to the finish line and beyond.
