God/nature makes people gay, but only other people make gays second-class citizens. When CA took away the right to marry based on sexual orientation, it set back the freedom struggle for the gay community temporarily, but it also unleashed a tiger.Gays will win this fight because they are correct to demand that their right to marry be recognized by the state, and they are the ones who are affected by the marriage prohibition, unlike the heterosexual opponents of marriage equality.
People, (gay, straight, all colors, all ages) are pouring into the streets, they are angry, and they won't stop until society treats gays with respect, recognizes their equal humanity and the equal value of their love.
Call it marriage, because society respects the word. "Separate but equal" civil unions are a slap in the face. Churches can do what they want, but civil marriage is a right of all people, regardless of sexual orientation. This is the future, if you can't lend a hand, get out of the way. This bigotry will be brought to an end.
