CALL for a support Strike FORCE.  Rob's email 7/16 offered the good advice to mock people we meet hiding Justice behind cliches without substance, who say 'war on terror' with no facts and no idea what they are talking about.  I say step it up a notch.  Fuel the FORCE, FULL the Effect.

Doing more than one-on-one, mock-them-as-you-find-them, OpEdNews can draw coordinates on targets and 'flood mock' them, totally massive mockery.  A cluster mock, in a manner of speaking.  Bury the b.s.

I nominate the (Lee corporation) newspaper website in Albany, Oregon --  the Democrat-Herald.  Its editorial page chief-of-propaganda is Hasso Hering.  It is a small circulation paper; and maybe that makes a good starting target.  No doubt you other OpEdNews Regulars can nominate stonewalling newspapers in your market, too.  And I will help you then, on target, as you help me now.

The extreme rightwing, Bush cheerleader Democrat-Herald paper, has blacklisted my IP address out of the Opinion section.  My dissent is gagged.  That's why this CALL for a Strike FORCE.  I have not been indecent, nor uncivil, nor bullying, nor nasty, nor for any manner of bad taste or disrespect; BUT I have been constantly contrary, and in my every comment, weeks and weeks ago, I included links to websites adding information that editorials had deliberately ignored, or to websites that supported my position.  A few of my comments got screened in, 5 out of 100, let's say, to give you a sense of scale for my complaint.

Everyone in town reads the paper and drinks the deranged-warmaker koolaid.  Last week, the fourth young Oregon Guard from Albany died in Iraq -- the wounded and crippled-for-life are not even counted or consoled in the paper.  Today a heart-breaking letter to the editor from a high school classmate of these koolaid brain-drugged victims, is asking Why?  Why Albany, typical small town America, is bleeding more than its 'share'?, of deaths and suffering sacrifice.

Although Oregon is the only state with no US military base, the foundation of the economy of Albany is the Teledyne subsidiary Wah Chang, an exotic-metals fabrication plant.  Teledyne Wah Chang's massive customer is the Pentagon, bribing everyone in town to shut up, with millions and tens of millions of dollars -- more millions than that even, thousands of millions of dollars; to manufacture cluster bombs, land mines, armor-piercing rockets, bunker buster bomb casings, who knows what-all -- nobody ! -- since so much blood money buys silence, stonefaced silence about what 'the men make at the mill.'  There are mothers in Albany and the area around, good decent folks, with laughing happy children playing in well-off neighborhoods of well-kept homes, and they turn their head away to avoid hearing of other mothers in Southeast Asia, and Africa, and Iraq and Afghanistan, with children, too, with their legs blown off, or killed, or permanent medical casualties, from what 'the men make at the mill.'

Once, over ten years ago, a land mine salesman, (now there's a job for an ambitious fiend), was convicted and imprisoned in Florida, for selling his wares in Chile, which may or may not have shipped them via South Africa, Egypt, or Israel, on the way to the Iran-Iraq war lands, for the profiteering of infamous international arms-smuggler and weapons-merchant, Carlos Cardoen.  The salesman said the government had okay'ed his mission.  The government denied knowledge of it.  Refused responsibility in the person of Robert Gates, deputy at the CIA at the time, (now Rumsfeld's replacement as Secretary of Defense), as a deposed witness in the Florida court whose testimony was:  'We lied to the Wah Chang salesman.'

InformationClearingHouse.INFO/article1413.htm  -- The Teicher Affidavit: Iraq-Gate
gwu.EDU/~nsarchiv/NSAEBB/NSAEBB82/   -- National Security Archive Electronic Briefing Book No. 82

The salesman's years in prison were away from his wife and children in Albany.

When (not 'if') the Democrat-Herald puts the facts of warmaker Bush in the newspaper, it could shut down land mine-maker and bomb-builder Wah Chang, and depress the local economy.  I hope so.  Then we can rebuild together, making peace and local agriculture and small businesses and smart kids from healthy families, all in a stronger community.

Now, here are my target suggestions:

First is a Democrat-Herald editorial claim which means to exactly deny your efforts, Rob, in creating the OpEdNews webpages for contacting members of Congress.  The editorial's position is that local people are powerless to communicate redress, and congresspersons are unreachable and untouchable.  Maybe you want to comment to editorial editor Hasso Hering about this one:

DemocratHerald.COM/articles/2007/07/15/news/opinion/2edit01_write.txt --  Don’t ‘write’ to Congress
There’s a reason members of Congress don’t have publicly available e-mail addresses: They and their office staffs would get swamped, nobody would get through, and none of their staffers would get any work done other than coping with spam....

My second suggested target is ... just gall.  I don't know what the editorial says, I can only access the tease line, because I am blacklisted from the full Opinion webpage.  See what you think of it, and you tell me if it's right -- I just smell a phony-naivete fishiness in the title, and a willing blindness that 'believes no evil of Bush' in first sentence:

DemocratHerald.COM/articles/2007/07/15/news/opinion/3edi02_muzzle.txt>  -- Muzzled? Really?
It’s hard to believe that anyone, up to and including the Bush Administration, could muzzle the surgeon general of the United States. ...

Next, I call the last straw, intolerable, giving faint praise of credibility for, (by not LOUDLY denying), the cock-and-bull stories, (as we say out West), about (bogus) al-Quaida monsters under your bed, be very afraid and live your life terrified in fear, they are coming to GET you - BOOO!  The editorial repeats, the countless-times-proven FALSEHOOD, it is a PROPAGANDA LIE, connecting al-Quaida, "some of them," blamed for "2001," readNine Eleven Op, which was a Bush Administration-staged hoax.  There were NO hijackers, let alone al-Quaida ones.  (Oh, you think there were?  How did they get on the planes when the airlines' computer records show none of them had reservations or bought tickets; and so then, where did the nineteen names come from, who each ARE in the records of contracted employees of the CIA, for one use or another, at various times.)  And the editorial's money line that might pop your eyes out, at the very least:  "A big, open country that is not a police state is always open to attack."  Well, then, obviously, we see what we have to do to close off the possibility of attack.  (To get this text, I used a different computer to bypass the blockade on mine.)
The editorial headline says, "This fight will last."  I say, "Democrat-Herald:  You haven't even seen the fight start yet, like you are about to."

DemocratHerald.COM/articles/2007/07/16/news/opinion/7edi01_longfight.txt  -- Again: This fight will last
There was a lot of media chatter last week about a new intelligence estimate that al-Qaida had regrouped and managed to restore ...

Fourth
and last, the link to July 16 letters to the editor, including the one I referred to.  Perhaps members of a Strike FORCE might aim some comments in this category.

Deaths are for what? --  Albany is not a big town compared to many ...

Come senators, congressmen,
Please heed the call,
Don't stand in the doorway
Don't block up the hall.
For he that gets hurt
Will be he who has stalled
There's a battle outside
And it is ragin'.
It'll soon shake your windows
And rattle your walls
For the times they are a-changin'

It is time for changing into offensive proactive confrontation and ridicule and mockery.  Please, all across the internet, heed this CALL for a Strike FORCE.  Today's target:   DemocratHerald.COM/   -- Albany, OR, Democrat-Herald newspaper, a Lee corporation media property.

As a point of information:  I met face-to-face with Mr. Hering, shook hands, and complained weeks ago that my rather moderate comments were being dumped, unfairly, it seemed to me, and I asked him what they were rejected for.  He told me he didn't see all comments and didn't recall any of mine, and couldn't say much about it.  Shortly after that, my IP address was blacklisted.  I emailed the newspaper that I was blacklisted, and got no reply.  A few days later I met face-to-face with Mr. Hering, (really, our fourth meeting), told him my IP address was blacklisted, and wrote that same statement on paper as he watched, and put it in his hand, and he said, quote: "Really?  That doesn't seem fair."  I plan to meet him again next week, and talk some more.

No, Mr. Hering, it doesn't seem fair because it is unfair.  It is undemocratic -- what an irony under his masthead.  It is anti-democracy.  The vast majority of American citizens think fairly the same as I do, and I do believe they might tell you so if you saw or heard their statements.  The vast majority of American citizens, Mr. Hering, demand NOW, immediate withdrawal from Bush's war crimes in Iraq AND ALL OTHER outlaw and unnecessary US military horrors and atrocities AROUND THE WORLD -- bring ALL the troops home, from everywhere.  NOW.  There is no foreign threat to America, and the true-told news of the world shows that.  There are no terrorist legions.  The enemy of and threat to America is in offices in Washington, D.C.  And state capitols.  And newspaper and television rooms.  Readers of your newspaper want NO MORE letters like the one from the teenager asking why young kids in this town are dead and dying, in a war you have done your damnedest, and lied, to inflame and keep burning, Mr. Hering.

Come writers and critics
Who prophesize with your pen
And keep your eyes wide  ...
