I think "Main Core" may well be the story of the century.

::::::::

Anyone following the “Main Core”  expose’?  Well “Main Core” is Orwell’s nightmare.  Getting his hands on “Main Core” has been a Cheney’s “wet dream” since his indoctrination into the Nixon administration – you know, where he went to hide out during Vietnam

I have a theory that AG Mike Mukasey was brought in specifically to stifle all investigations into the Bush Administration’s use of executive power and torture.  Why?  To protect the ‘Continuity of Government’ program.  Cheney and Addington tried to get Ashcroft to integrate the extremely powerful “Main Core” into the post 9-11 domestic surveillance program – in others words, Bush and Cheney were demanding to link the ‘secret government’ surveillance system into the post 9-11 surveillance system, and Ashcroft balked.  Why?  I cannot stress enough that the damage in exposing this system is off the radar.  Ergo, we have the showdown at Ashcroft’s intensive care hospital bed with Comey, et al taking on Gonzales, et al.  Mukasey is the “boy with the finger in the dyke.”  I think Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, et al. are ultimately expendable.  I think the ‘secret government’ will do anything to protect “Main Core.”  Not so much for the information it has, but for how they use it.

The ironic part about this story – actually kinda funny – is that the software backbone of “Main Core” called PROMIS was stolen from a former NSA employee’s company, Inslaw, by the Reagan administration back in the 80s where Cheney and Rumsfeld were hatching their original assault on the Constitutional Balance of Powers by ‘castration’ of the Legislative, ‘conservative homogenization’ of the Judiciary, and the ‘coronation’ of the Executive.  Funnier still…Dubya’s daddy has been smack dab in the middle of all this crap from its inception and the whole Bush family has made a shit-load of money

I think “Main Core” may well be the story of the century.
