There is something afoot, and I think I saw it.
In a light bulb moment, I saw an October surprise of such grandiose proportions, of such hubris and smoke and mirrors, it shook me to my core. A late night decision hatched in the darkened recesses of the neocon hideout, the Cheney residence. This hideaway makes the "hole in the wall" look like a bullies tree-house getaway.
A surprise, appearing on the Republican horizon, that will have America, the electorate, and the body politic reeling in disbelief and stunned amazement. The world will look on, astonished.
My war weary, highly partisan psyche, has deduced in a moment of clarity, or maybe a moment of madness, this highly improbable conclusion .
The Neocon leadership of the Republican party, is going to replace the Entire Republican Presidential Ticket in October.
I must be mad. How can this happen?
Has anyone noticed how the entire right wing opinion machine has turned on John McCain and Sarah Palin? Even his dishonorable advisers are slurring him and abandoning him.
John McCain is being called treasonous, liar, and totally out of touch, by his own right wing operatives who have nurtured his campaign and made him sell his soul, and sign in blood, the nefarious compact that merges Religion and State into one. The fraudulent neocon, plus, far right Evangelical, pipe dream of 100 hundred years of Neocon rule.
The first seed, planted in the White-House, failing to mature, withered among the weeds of useless war and devasted economy. The bad seed, that couldn't grow, watered by the blood of Americas best and brightest, fertilized by an educated, elite corp of word twisters and opinion pushers, pruned by a corporate greed that knows no bounds, has nearly destroyed the Machiavellian plot. Bush will be blamed. But these demigods will not be refused.
Romney was plan A. Obama chose Biden. Sarah was plan B.
She was chosen for her pliability, her hyper Religious mindset, and a backwoods naivete that appeals to the American public, because it speaks to the birth of the nation we all carry in our patriotic hearts. The love of the flag and all the greatness that it bears, was hers for the taking, but she failed the smell test. The rose did not bloom, no matter how much fertilizer has been heaped, she carries too many thorns.
The Neocons, as they always do, thought they could foist paper flowers and a paper tiger upon a willing public, but this publics' eyes and noses have been put on full alert, after 8 years of fools gold, foibles and feet of clay, they will not be fooled by shop-worn, world war two era propaganda. We may be slow but we learn, from the pain.
Now, unless they are trying to distance themselves from McBush, to make him appear like the "maverick" he isn't, I fear that something more grandiose is about to happen in October.
Let us hope it is not World War Three.
