Going full speed through the media reform conference which is packed with personalities and ripe for reflection and introspective thinking to improve the way we all respond to media for social change and justice in America.

You wouldn't know that the only thing keeping me going is Vicodin and without it, I would not be publishing content to OpEdNews right now because just one week ago I was out of commission and in the hospital.

A part of me regrets having to rely on painkillers to stay alert and attentive and enjoy being here because I feel like a junky. But, this is an opportunity not be missed---one I will be capitalizing on by establishing a media reform and justice group on my college campus in the upcoming fall semester.

Nowhere else could you be in a room with Amy Goodman, Phil Donahue, Norman Solomon, and Rev. Lennox Yearwood. Nowhere else could you go to the movies and see "Body of War" with John Nichols introducing Phil Donahue while the FCC Commissioner Michael Copps sits in the audience near Amy Goodman along with several other leaders of media justice organizations in America.

It's a paradise for progressives here with enough propaganda to keep us busy for a year until the next convention when another batch of propaganda is handed out. But, that's an unfair assessment that makes this seem like Comic Con or some kind of Star Wars Celebration.

We occasionally become starstruck fans but we breakout of this state once we exit the convention.

When we go back home, we kick into gear and become leaders in our community or truth tellers in our family that share the importance of waking up to the reality.

Now...time for lunch...
