Blabbermouth Drudge Report forces Britain's Prince Harry to leave off soldiering in Afghanistan.

::::::::

At least Harry got to do a bit of soldiering before big ol' gossip-monger blabbermouth Drudge outed Harry's presence in Afghanistan in a combat group. Unfortunately, awareness of Harry's presence in such a group puts his comrades in a high-risk situation and Harry had to leave the war zone in order to protect his comrades.

But I salute Harry for being a real soldier. We need more famous kids to take up this kind of soldiering.

Which immediately brings to mind those two worthless nitwit twins, spawn of George W. Bush, who have probably drunk and been drunken 'round the world.

Soldiering. Something George W. Bush knows nothing about. So, I guess we must give his vacant spawn leave to continue on their meaningless ways.

And, soldiering is something that Dick Cheney has never done. Nor any of his spawn. And soldiering is something his spawn and descendants will never be able to do, as hell-bent as they are on adding to their own material worth.

Soldiering. No longer an American value because George W. Bush and Dick Cheney have given American-brand soldiering such a bad rep.

Being sent off to soldier in meaningless wars that accomplish nothing in terms of America's national security.

Being taken away from actual soldiering in Afghanistan, where our enemies nestle in joy and contentment, absolutely safe as long as Bush and Cheney remain in office.

Soldiering. Do you know what that is?

Googled, the word "soldiering" yields up some weird results:

A contrary look at soldiering sloughs up "shirking," "slacking," "goofing off," "goldbricking," "the evasion of work or duty." This sounds like "soldiering" as George W. Bush and Dick Cheney have carried it off. The terms describe Dubya totally.

I prefer to define "soldiering" as being willing to stand in the line of fire because of something you believe in, of providing service, of being there, of being reliably there -- for others rather than for self.

I cannot think of any time when Bush or Cheney have ever "soldiered" in this way. Nor any of their spawn.

And what about Drudge himself, the fellow who outed Harry? What has Drudge ever done save to be a big blabbermouth?

Poet, I have also written a number of items on Daily Kos as Karen Hedwig Backman and have a blog at: http://karenhedwigbackman.blogspot.com/
