| The attacks on Sonia Sotomayor are reaching the ridiculous. Rush "Deaf by Temptation" Limbaugh is leading the herd -- morons who quickly follow his every rabid talking point. Cal Thomas on Fox "News" Sunday declared that The Pigman was "absolutely right" in branding Sotomayor a racist, comparing her to white supremacy advocate G. Harold Carswell. Carswell was a Nixon nominee for the Supreme Court, rejected when his speech to an American Legion meeting became public: "I believe that segregation of the races is proper ... and the only practical and correct way of life in our states. I yield to no man in the firm, vigorous belief in the principles of white supremacy and I shall always be so governed."
Cal never learns, and his blatant hypocrisy has made him one of the favorite faux-Christians of the far-right freaks. About this time last year he was attacking Michelle Obama, insinuating that she was a stereotypical "angry black woman." Again on Fox (of course), Cal sneered: "And who are the black women you see on the local news at night in cities all over the country. They're usually angry about something. They've had a son who has been shot in a drive-by shooting. They are angry at Bush. So you don't really have a profile of non-angry black women." Yeah, no racial bias there, eh Cal? Meanwhile, back on planet Gasbag, Mt. Rush is spewing a fresh eruption of molten madness on his masses, now attacking Sotomayor for not having stronger bones. No kidding. Shortly after Sotomayor fractured her ankle, The Oxymoron mused about whether a "white male" would have broken his ankle under similar circumstances: "She fractured her ankle in an airport. She stumbled in the airport on her way to senate meetings. Now, the question is, would a white male judge have fractured his ankle in the same circumstances in the same airport on the way to Senate meetings? " OMFG! Where were The Pigman's ugly jabs when "Deadeye" Dick Cheney's various parts began systematically rejecting his rotting body? When his foot tried to defect back in 2006 and he took to a wheelchair? Or the many times his diseased heart attempted to quietly end its suffering, only to be cruelly and repeatedly shocked back to its pitiful, painful servitude? El Rushbo's hypocrisy is worse than Cal Thomas' labeling Sotomayor a racist; he's in no position to attack anybody's physical health for any reason. Can you say Krispy Kreme? |
