The beauty of the internet is its speed. You can post an article and in seconds the article will reach places in the world that most of us can't pronounce, locate on a map or are even aware of their existence. Unfortunately, speed is also the biggest fault of the internet. Information can travel around the world faster than the data can be checked for accuracy. As a result, there are numerous articles out there that contain erroneous, if not fraudulent information; some may even be sitting in your inbox waiting for you to read. Such is the case this morning with an article that was forwarded to me. The last line of the first paragraph in the article reads as follows: "We can now safely conclude that this Executive Order has never been repealed, amended, or superceded by any subsequent Executive Order. In simple terms, it is still valid." Aside from the fact that the author doesn't know how to spell 'superseded', the conclusion made about EO 11110, an Executive Order signed by President John F. Kennedy on June 4, 1963 is incorrect. The purpose of Executive Order 11110 was to amend executive order 10289 by • inserting subparagraph (j) at the end of paragraph 1 • revoking subparagraphs (b) and (c) of paragraph 2 thereof. Click here http://www.presidency.ucsb.edu/ws/index.php?pid=59049 to read full text of Executive Order 11110 The information inserted in paragraph 1 by Executive Order 11110 was completely revoked by Executive Order 12608 written by President Ronald Reagan on September 9, 1987 as follows: Executive Order No. 10289, as amended, is further amended... • (e) By revoking Sections 1(g) and 1(j) Click here http://www.presidency.ucsb.edu/ws/index.php?pid=34773 to read full text of Executive Order 10289 By now you should be asking what the hell difference it makes whether or not section 1(j) was revoked by anyone or if it's still valid. The difference is this one Executive Order is being used to manipulate folks, just like you, into believing that John F. Kennedy's murder was partially due to the contents of this 'virtually unknown' EO and the order is still on the books. The story being circulated is Kennedy wanted our troops out of Vietnam and that fact combined with EO 11110 taking power and profits away from our Federal Reserve banking system would eventually destroy the Federal Reserve. Since Kennedy was killed in 1963 and the contents of EO 11110 not revoked until 1987, it should be fair to assume that Kennedy's assassination had little to do with the executive order. Or, on the other hand, you could always make the assumption our government is not real quick at cover-ups. Whatever conclusion you come to, be wary of articles with sensational headlines that make front page news on 'off-the-wall' websites. As most of you already know, websites are not difficult to come by. They are now relatively inexpensive and if you put enough time and effort into it, within a few days you can have the world believing whatever you put on your website, if it is presented correctly and promoted. The people owning these sites want you to believe in a conspiracy. If they have friends who believe as they do, it's a simple task to have each website carry the same article; that way if you 'Google' the article to obtain more information you will see that it's not isolated and think there is some credibility to the story. Don't be taken in by people who want to turn you against your government. Our government is far from perfect, but right now it's the only one we happen to have. If these people succeed in turning everyday folks against our government, where does that leave us? Is the conspiracy with the government or with the people attempting to fill your head with their views?
