Folks who think we are leaving Afghanistan have got to be kidding. The reason for invading Afghansitan had more to do with building and protecting the Halliburton-Unocal Gas Pipeline than getting Al Qaeda or Osama. Time to wake up and realize that the reasons for war were all about natural resources and profits and very little to do with 911 or getting Bin Laden. This is why the military bases follow the new pipeline (and not the heroin trade routes). If we really were there to neuter Al Qaeda we would have set bases on the trade routes for heroin and cut-off the Taliban's income source. We are there plain and simple to protect multi-national energy company profits and wet dreams. Time to wake up and realize that our military is the pawn for energy interests (like in Iraq) and not some warrior fighting an honorable cause. It's blood and treasure for oil and gas...period.
