The AP is reporting that HUSTLER publisher Larry Flynt will hold a news conference at his offices in California, possibly as early as tomorrow, further elaborating on Senator David Vitter's (R-La) sexual conduct outside his marriage.
Flynt requested that a New Orleans prostitute, who claims to have had sexual relations with Vitter, undergo a polygraph test. According to AP sources, she has successfully passed the lie detector test requested by Mr. Flynt.
So far, Republican Senate leaders have not requested Vitter step aside, although they demanded Larry Craig's (R-Id) resignation even though there was no corroborated evidence that Craig had sex with another man.
Several men have claimed that Craig has had sexual encounters with other men. Craig pleaded guilty to a reduced charge after supposedly seeking sex with an undercover policeman at a Minneapolis airport in June.
Craig's replacement, when and if he leaves the Senate, shall be made by Idaho's conservative Republican Governor.
If Vitter were to resign, his appointment would be made by Louisiana's Democratic Governor Blanco.
