Picture this: You're in your car with a friend. The friend jumps out of the car and tells you to wait. 20 minutes later, he comes back and you drive off. Then you are sentenced to die for that murder, because the jury decides that you "should have anticipated" that your friend would commit that murder. Sound stranger than fiction?
