DIANE'S NEWS CLIPS begins here :)~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~> http://eddiestinson@gmail.com > An excellent wake up call from Karen Kwiatkowski Can a War With Iran Be Prevented? Or will King George commit mass murder again? Article by Karen Kwiatkowski.
Even after a long winter of orchestrated chanting and battlegroup repositioning, springtime American attacks on Iranian territory are not written in stone. Such a war is not predetermined, except in the minds of neoconservatives in this country and some politicos in Tel Aviv.
We should remember that these people do not run the country, ostensibly still a Republic. True, this mindset of war-economics and benign super-dominance of the world is appealing to many in Congress. Those with the ability to deliver votes, and take them away, seem to want this next iteration of creative destruction. More dangerously, this mindset grips the military-industrial complex and even many diplomats for reasons of self-actualization. War makes them relevant, prosperous, significant.
If we were a kingdom, George W. Bush would be our King. If George W. Bush were our King, a war with Iran would indeed be inevitable. To stop that war, we would need to stop the king himself and stopping a king is often something that requires bold action on the part of those with access to him.
If we were a kingdom trying to stop a troublesome king, we might look to the person closest to him. For us, this would be the vice president, Dick Cheney. However, if we were a kingdom today, we would be witness to a power behind the throne in the form of a well-placed civilian with a mystical reputation for force of personality, and a posse of loyal samurai willing to kill and die for him. Other empires have had their Grigori Rasputins, their Agrippinas, their de Richelieus. If we were a kingdom, we would have Dick Cheney.
If we were a kingdom, a key source of power with excellent access to a wayward or delusion king would be the head of the king's army. Marine General Peter Pace has recently stated that he "believes" Iran is involved in Iraq against our troops, but he sees no need for "kinetic action against Iran." Well, I suppose that's comforting. In a kingdom, the top military officer would be exceptionally loyal to his king. In a republic, he would be loyal to the Constitution, or perhaps, the "people." The jury is out on Perfect Peter, but somehow I think he will be of little assistance this time. [snip]

NOT Fair ...
It seems to me that many of our problems today can be attributed to too many people trying to determine what's fair and what's not fair for everyone instead of learning the lessons life presents to everyone.
'Not fair'? 'Not fair'??
Should I or anyone else be terribly concerned with what is and what's not 'fair' to you? No! Life isn't 'fair' at all. All men are not created equal.
'Fairness' seems to be a creation of someone who was tired of his or her life station or a situation being too difficult, not 'fair' or 'equal' enough for his or her tastes. There is a reason for this
'unfairness'.
All men and women must learn their lessons in life. That's what life is, if you didn't know: a constant series of lessons to be learned. These challenges are presented to everyone in different ways that may not seem 'fair' or 'equal'. That's because they're not fair or equal.
Everyone's situation is unique because that's how the lesson is presented and that's the starting point for learning. That is the way of the Creator. By forcibly making life 'fair' or 'equal' is to go against the very nature of why it is not fair or equal, basically going against the Creators intention, which is simply spitting in the face of the Creator. It is the equivalent of the person saying to the Creator, 'I don't like my life situation. All this hard work seems stupid to me. I want what my neighbor has instead, so I'm going to alter your plan and make life fair for me.'
That's what we tend to call being 'self-centered' or 'greedy' these days and it's also a failure (and a particularly dismal one, at that) to learn a particular lesson. Once you fall into that trap it snowballs and pretty soon you'll be up to your eyes in 'deadly sins.'

The Bible, and all other religious documents like it, were written by ancient civilizations that were by far more intellectually advanced than we are. It is a book of allegory and symbolism, not meant to be taken literally. The Bible even says that it is not to be taken literally, but that's exactly what has happened to it. When you talk about Bible stories, you are talking about them in a literal sense, which the Bible tells you not to do. You should probably think seriously about studying it more closely as a book of allegory and symbolism before you start offering up commentary that is ridiculous.
Zionism is a movement that derives much of its propaganda from taking its 'religious' teachings literally. We, as a race of Humans, are still in our infancy. It is time to grow up. It is time to stop pretending to be grown up and actually grow, physically, intellectually and spiritually.
Growth of the Spirit has nothing to do with organized religion. Organized religion is a system (research the origins of the word 'system,') of control exercised over populations for the benefit of very few and is prohibitive of spiritual growth. If the spiritual self cannot grow the physical self is stunted and the intellectual self is drastically limited. Active participation in armchair wars of words do not contribute to spiritual growth. If you really want to effect changes in this realm of existence you must take the long, hard road of spiritual renovation.
There is no easy way. Inner changes produce outward results. Only when you have demonstrated that you can effect changes in your own self can you even begin to consider changing anything on this physical plane of existence. The longer you wait, the more we all lose.

In Black History Month, news from the police state
By Jerry Mazza | Online Journal Associate Editor
On the 3rd day of February, Black History month, The New York Times reported Number of People Stopped by Police Soars in New York. This originated from a recently released New York Police Department (NYPD) report that showed its police officers stopped 508,540 people on New York City streets last year, an average of 1,393 stops per day, often to search for illegal weapons. The number shot up from 97,296 in 2002, the last time the department divulged 12 months' worth of data. http://snipurl.com/1ahxq

The new American century, RIP ... By Richard Sharp | Online Journal Contributing Writer

Chimps in a zoo cage ... By Sheila Samples | Online Journal Contributing Writer
If the Bush administration and the US mainstream media are united on any one issue, it's an absolute refusal to rock the political boat as they sail mercilessly through the seas of corporate profit on the good ship Terrorbush. For the most part, each group is an incurious lot -- undead creatures who neither care, nor dare, to glance over the side of the ship at the bloated, swirling bodies in the blood-red water below. From the beginning, their mission has been to perform so fantastically against a backdrop of such violent, explosive madness on so many fronts that we watch hypnotically but do not see -- listen intently but do not hear.

http://www.truthout.org/docs_2006/021707C.shtml
Discontent with President Bush's call for bolstering US troops in Iraq not only is flaring in Congress but also is beginning to surge in state capitols. The National Guard is the chief flash point between the Bush administration and governors when it comes to the war.

Her daughter was killed by a bomb in Iraq. Eight months later, Susan Jaenke is both grief-stricken and strapped - behind on her mortgage, backed up on her bills and shut out of the $100,000 government death benefit that her daughter thought she had left her. The problem is that Jaenke is not a wife, not a husband, but instead grandmother to the 9-year-old her daughter left behind. For the Jaenkes and others like them, the toll of war can be especially complex: They face not only the anguish of losing a son or daughter but also the emotional, legal and financial difficulties of putting the pieces back together for a grandchild.

Democrats Signal a Wider Battle Lasting the Rest of President's Term
http://www.truthout.org/docs_2006/021707G.shtml
After enjoying great deference in the conduct of national security for his first six years in office, President Bush now faces an assertive opposition Congress that has left him on the defensive. The nonbinding resolution passed on a largely party-line vote seems certain to be the first of a series of actions that will challenge Bush for the remainder of his presidency.

Congress Faces the $100 Billion Question
http://www.truthout.org/docs_2006/021707B.shtml
In the Congressional maneuvering with President Bush over Iraq, both Bush and his adversaries agree that the vote next month on his request for $100 billion in emergency funding is the crucial moment. "This vote will be the most important vote in changing the direction of this war; this vote will limit the options of the president and should stop the surge," said Representative John Murtha (D-Penn.).

Obama will make the case that he'll be as strong on Israel as anyone
You really didn't think this guy had any more integrity than the rest, did you? When you apply for a job you don't go to the customers, you go the boss or the bosses, which in this case is the Jewish Establishment, AKA The Lobby. So Barack is only doing what all Democratic presidential aspirants and 99% of the Congressional candidates have been doing for decades; you walk into the bosses office with a For Sale sign around your neck, pads on your knees and a bottle of mouthwash in your hip pocket.
