It seems that when the burden of high temperatures hang like a weight upon us in summer, tempers flare, and even throughout the world, people react in erratic and violent ways that are predictable as summer itself; the GOP is struggling, and Americans are finally showing their ire at the nasty statements from people like Phil Graham, who stepped-down from John McCain’s campaign for calling Americans “whiners.”
My site has been hacked again, and comments I’ve posted myself have mysteriously disappeared, gone forever because I didn’t backup my own comments – which has never been an issue. For six (6) days this month, my site was only accessible to me, but I was ill and unaware that it had been compromised. Now it is, and as the GOP desperately attempts to regain some semblance of credibility, their hackers and propagandists are working overtime to discourage people throughout the Blogosphere from disseminating the truth, which is often elusive and as hard to find as cheap gas or reasonable food prices.
I’m attempting to change my security, but admit I’m no match for professional hackers - but at best, what they can destroy, I can restore, but it’s a laborious procedure and one I don’t look forward to; it seems to come with the territory, and now that the terrorist watch list has grown to over one million (1,000,000) names, it’s obvious that the Bush administration and Homeland Security are adding names to their “list” of people that have done nothing more than disagree with unconstitutional policies supported by the White House and have dared to “whine” about the US economy sliding into a hole that may take decades to dig-out from. All that Americans have left is hope - that our corporations are beginning to understand that if they outsource anything and everything, even they will eventually fall into bankruptcy, and only by re-investing in America and bringing our jobs back home do we have a chance to survive as a prosperous and free nation. In short, we will be destroyed by their unmitigated greed or their boards of directors will wake-up and face the reality that if our nation falls into an economic collapse, they will also fail, and their landing will be much harder than ours. These are matters that Congress has been discussing in their “secret session” that Denis Kucinich refused to attend – and chastised the entire House of Representatives for seeking to discuss in secrecy which should be in the public domain. Dynamite does come in small packages, and Mr. Kucinich has earned this author’s respect and admiration for standing-up for freedom of speech and our constitution – although I wish he would have attended so the American people could have a detailed view into the treachery of our own Congress.
The icing on the cake came when someone attempted to break into our home while we were all sleeping, and no, it wasn’t a professional job, but carried out in a manner that indicated it was perpetrated by rank amateurs, or in the alternative, a not so subtle reminder that they know where we live. I have to wonder what would have happened if they had gained entry to the house, inhabited by two children, three disabled individuals, and one healthy son who is now sleeping with one eye open, as all of us are keeping an eye on what little we own and hoping that the cowards who seek to intimidate and steal or worse from unsuspecting people will one day open a door and receive much more than they bargained for. Statistically speaking, we know that in Georgia, home invasions are on the rise - as they are in other states, and as our economy worsens and people become desperate and angry at an uncaring government, ultimately it is the average people who will suffer first - and as a warning to all, be careful and don’t take your safety for granted. Position yourself to be a survivor, and never expect “that it couldn’t happen to me”, because it can and will if you let down your guard in a country that is becoming less stable by the day - but that’s another story that will be published later today.
I suppose that I should consider shutting down my Blog, but that would be rank cowardice and giving in to the intimidation tactics of the Neo-cons who are hell bent on destroying our country, and in the south where I have lived most of my adult life, I see more and more Bumper Stickers that state “Live Free Or Die” - and the anger is beginning to surface as people are being driven into poverty by a President that Congress has so far given into anything he wants - including betraying the people, trampling on the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, and utterly destroying America’s economy to the point where the IMF (International Monetary Fund) is going to investigate the US Banking System.
It’s going to be a long summer, but the real story is in a secret meeting that Congress held earlier this year, and in a post later today, we will cover that matter in detail and point-out why disaster preparedness is vital to you and your family’s survival. One thing is certain, the enemies America face that pose the most danger inhabit the halls of our own government, and those of lesser stature are in the Middle-East and in other faraway places, watching in amazement while the Bush administration is destroying the United States, a task they had vowed to do, but George W. Bush and Darth Cheney have been kind enough to do the heavy-lifting themselves, and now that America is waking-up, the people are unhappy and are finally starting to demand change and accountability in government.
