Everything that swirls around Johnnie "GWB" McCain is as disgusting as what gets swirled and flushed down the porcelain convenience.
From his votes in the Senate, to the lobbyists on his campaign staff, to the friends he chooses to hang with, to the people who support him, everything about McCain is vile.
The latest is from the Associated Press, which reported that McC was forced to cancel a fundraiser at the home of Texas oil billionaire Clayton "Claytie" Williams, because during Williams' failed campaign against Ann Richards in 1990, Williams joked (and to call it a joke is being overly generous), by comparing a woman being raped to the weather, "As long as it's inevitable, you might as well lie back and enjoy it."
He also said of Richards, comparing her to the cattle on his ranch that he would, "head her and hoof her and drag her through the dirt."
What a guy! And he probably wondered why he lost.
Moreover -- and absolutely unbelieveable -- was a statement by McCain's people that Johnnie was unaware of Williams' remarks.
In a tepid defense of the indefensible, McC spokesman Brian Rogers said, "It's positive that he did apologize at the time, but the comments are nonetheless offensive."
Statements like that are all we can expect from people who represent the man who made an obnoxious "joke" about a young Chelsea Clinton, and who wants to emulate the Commander-of-Farting-in-Public-in-Chief.
