And, at last, as we age, we become less and less able to sustain civility between the likes of Watergaters like Dean and Liddy, as this article so pointedly makes known.
I have watched in a amusement as John Dean has moved from a self-righteous, ambitious, self-forgiving Goldwater conservative to a fire-breathing anti-neo-con man of letters. Dean stops just short of linking Goldwater conservatism with neo-conservative ideology, but I suspect he may yet go there as wisdom and old age work their magic on an honest man.
As for me I was long ago convinced that conservatives were being used by globalists like George Soros whose great objective has been to demonstrate that well-meaning fascist oligarchs will be the leadership of the future. Globalists couldn't care less about whether useful idiots come from the political Left or Right; as long as economic gain and political authority are expanding, they could not care less.
The problem now, just as it was 2,000 years ago, is when will we come to accept that authoritarian power and control has no place among civilized humanity?
