And President Bush is Sorry

::::::::

Now that the election is over and it is clear the economy is a disaster, economists are letting us in on a little secret.

I suggest you sit down and take a deep breath because I think this will come as a shock to you.

Ready?

OK, the economy was in a recession all of last year.

I bet you are really surprised about that bit of economic news. Now I know, the managed corporate media never let us know things were that bad. The talking heads and the empty suits on radio and television kept saying that "if" there is a recession and there "might" be a possibility of a recession and they kept talking about how the stimulus checks were designed to stop the possibility of a recession.

Now that it is official that we have been in a recession, I guess we can wait to the end of 2009 to find out that the country is officially bankrupt and has been struggling with a depression. But in the mean time the collapse of Wall Street, the bank failures, the 7 trillion dollar bail out of the banksters, the credit crises, the crash of the housing market, the auto industry, and manufacturing, is just a recession.

So let's all click on the tube, sit back, and keep listening to the same liars that have been lying to us all year about the state of the economy. Then when when we find out how terrible the economy is right now in another 12 months, we can all be surprised again.

But I do feel good knowing that the economic crises has not gone unnoticed by our Commander-In-Chief. He has recently been quoted as expressing his regret about the whole mess. "I'm sorry it's happening, of course," Mr. Bush sadly said.

I work as a school counselor and mental health counselor in Gallup New Mexico.
