I wish to acknowledge this historic day. Glued to the TV, recording every moment, and, like one’s life flashing before eyes all of the trauma our people and nation have endured for these last few years, memories and emotions all welled up.
There is real hope in that face. There is real compassion in his eyes. How long has it been since a President has nakedly displayed sincerely kind eyes. No calculation in them, just determination to help all of us get back to what we’ve always been but, for so long, bullied into denying.
Something supreme has blessed our new President. He knows what real love is. And I do believe President Barack Obama, as did a few before him, comes to the White House just when our need is most critical. Proof in the old truth that it is always darkest before dawn, it is “Morning in America” again__for real.
