Various brief clips of BP's allegedly live video footage of the SpillGate leak that I saw on news programs all seemed to look like a clip a few seconds long being repeated over and over. So I visited the site, and what I saw there looked just as much like a loop and the excerpts I'd seen on the air.

Now, maybe the oil really IS leaking out that well in a pattern that looks like I'm watching a tape-loop, but I find that hard to believe. I've never seen any other fluid leak that followed such a consistent pattern. So I'd like opinions on this from people with more knowledge of the subject than I have. Plus, if a loop IS involved, it should be able for someone with good video-editing equipment and skills to prove it.
